Written by a 16 year old Paul McCartney, and given to his girlfriends brother, Peter. Love P&G. Have to follow it with this:

I DO like yesterdays music far more than today's. Old dog new tricks or was it just better?

Ya'll are aging yourselves on this thread, that's for sure. Most of today's music does suck though.

Ya'll are aging yourselves on this thread, that's for sure. Most of today's music does suck though. Please feel free to post something more contemporary. Recently I find myself listening to Country Pop.

Does high blood pressure have a hold on me or is this the way love is supposed to be?

Great group favored by my bud trimming group. Cross between a good Grateful Dead, folk music and jazz. They deserve acknowledgement in this era of zero culture.

Dylan's voice lowered 3 half steps. Done to a traditional Scottish lament this is a perfect song at whatever the speed.

Lovely haunting melody. Another folk singer named Paul Clayton took Dylan to court for stealing the melody from him. It came to light in court that Clayton had stolen it from someone else. Such was the inside baseball in the world of folk singers.

A Maryland song. In the early 70s I managed a B Dalton Bookseller and had to host book signings sent to me from the home office. William Zanzinger's brother had written a book. I asked whether he was relative of the murderer in Dylan's song. He immediately lit up at the chance to talk about his brother. His undisguised pride was startling given the song and despite being a rough diamond myself back then it left a deep impression that changed me for the better.
