Did Bing go under?

I don't know. From what I have heard other search engines use Googles algorithms so it gives you the same results.

Not sure I understand your thread title, Smokey. Don't you agree with trying to prevent disparaging searches? And I don't see that as a liberal or conservative issue. Why do you think it is?

YouTube is just as fun. Videos of several news outlets are being edited and resubmitted, pushing the original issue further down the que. It will show the video time stamp as submitted an hour ago, and the content is from a week or months past that has been cut and pasted to the point where it is worthless and out of date.

Did you read the article? It isn't that it prevents disparaging searches it prevents disparaging auto texts in a left biased manner. If you search a conservative figure it won't prevent a disparaging auto text.

I love the white Christian straight male victim syndrome WSMVS. Everyone else has it so eeeeeeeeeasy Just pointing out biases in things that should remain neutral is not claiming "victimhood". Virtue signalling your false moral superiority again?

There's always DuckDuckGo, keep your searches discrete.

How does one do a "disparaging" search? I mean, searching for articles on this character is not in itself disparaging. Do people search for articles that include his name and some derogatory comment and only look at those that have both?

A right-wing site complaining that it google is too left leaning. Too funny. What metric suggests this is a right-wing site? There are people here who disagree with littleme. That’s the metric. The fact that 11 of the 15 threads on the front page of Nationals were started by lefties doesn’t mean anything.

A right-wing site complaining that it google is too left leaning. Too funny. What metric suggests this is a right-wing site? Are you talking about Free Beacon? A look at the topics on that site pretty much explains it. As for this message board, it clearly isn't right-wing.

I just did Alex Jones, a person who, like Smollett, could turn up plenty of "negative" search suggestions and got: Net worth Young Joe Rogan Jussie Smollett Podcast Twitter Gif Related to Jerry Jones Instagram Nothing about Sandy Hook, Lawsuit, False Flags, Supplements, Fake News, Insane, Is Alex Jones An Alien?, or anything like that. I don't know if a company should be encouraging negative searches for anyone. That said, you can still just type in any person's name, including Smollett, and get all the latest breaking developments about a 4-month-old story if that's your thing.

For the record. Bing is a Microsoft home brew and is still around. Firefox is an Open source product and it also is a home brew.
To name a couple of other engines. I use those from time to time when Google is not giving a balanced view (both sides)
And do keep in mind gang. Your results at the 'top' of the list are by 'frequent visit counts' for your convenience (sort of a presort) as to present the most 'popular'...not necessarily the best...articles. So since there are more libs than cons you first pages will tend to be more liberal since percentage wise more libs will look at them.
Just click on the 'next' page button at the bottom and you will see other 'none popular' articles.
Class dismissed there will be a quiz in the morning.

I did Smollett this morning and got 2 new stories about him from today. Then the rest were Wikipedia types.

I did Smollett this morning and got 2 new stories about him from today. Then the rest were Wikipedia types. This isn't what Smokey posted about. It's the "suggested searches" when you type someone's name into Google. A drop down menu appears with suggested searches in relation to a person. This happens before you hit enter, or "search." I did it for several conservative people and found no disparaging or negative suggested searches for Alex Jones, Trump and Candace Owens. This is fake news cooked up by the right-wing media on what is appearing to be a very slow news day...even for fake news. It's still early, though. Maybe they can nuke up another Pizzagate story.

Are all those links I posted above right-wing media? Yeah, most of them are in fact. But wait, I see that many of them are several years old. So this USED to be a story, maybe. It appears to have been fixed from what I have seen when I type in a person's name. So, OLD fake news. On a slow fake news day. Better?

Jussie Smollett is not being "protected" because NO ONE receives negative suggested searches from Google.
Fake news.

Wikipedia is probably as close as it comes to being unbiased and I'm sure it seeps through even there. Anyway, have you tried any suggested searches today? It's an old story, if it ever even was a story.

Anyway, have you tried any suggested searches today? It's an old story, if it ever even was a story. So basically any time a poster cites a news source you could discount it as biased unless it is biased to your ideology. I thought so.
