Just another reminder that's there's nothing new under the sun...
Remember when Archie saved a drag queen's life via mouth to mouth "restitution" ? LOL

If the repubs ever hope to be considered something different than clowny incompetent bigots they have some major housecleaning to do.

Constellation has distribution rights. They buy the beer from Modelo plants in Mexico which are part of ABInBev. AB has lost 27 billion dollars on this fiasco. Whether they get a portion of the proceeds isn't really relevant - the end result is a massive net loss.

You're suggesting they lost half that amount in sales $$ thru 6 months of 2023?

If the repubs ever hope to be considered something different than clowny incompetent bigots they have some major housecleaning to do. So let me get this straight: woke clowns at Bud Light cost the company going on $27 billion, and you think the Republicans have the problem?

Whether they get a portion of the proceeds isn't really relevant - the end result is a massive net loss. Nyet. While it’s true the beer conglomerate’s stock price dipped briefly and sales of Bud Light are down year-on-year in recent weeks, there’s no sign the company has been fatally wounded, industry experts say. “Not only is it not going bankrupt, the lost sales of Bud Light are nearly negligible in relation to its global sales, at least so far,” Harry Schuhmacher, publisher of Beer Business Daily, an industry trade publication, wrote in an email. Bud Light is among the top selling brands worldwide, but it’s just one of many long-popular ales owned by the company, which is often referred simply as AB InBev and also produces Corona, Stella Artois, Beck’s, Hoegaarden and other beer lines. Shares in the company dipped as low as $63 in recent days, but have risen to nearly $66 as of Tuesday. That’s a roughly 45% increase since September, when shares were trading at about $45, analysts say. Meanwhile, sales of Bud Light in the U.S. fell 17% during the week ending April 15 compared to the same week last year, according to Robert Ottenstein, an analyst with Evercore ISI, an investment banking advisory firm in New York. apnews.com/article/fact-check-beer-bud-light-transgender-dylan-mulvaney-754744557403

Going on a beer run tomorrow. I will definitely have to remember to check the numbers. For the longest time, he was paying $15.98 per case at Wal Mart, it is now $18.98 per case. Yes, we can buy beer and wine at Wal Mart and grocery stores, makes life so much easier!! BaltCo distributors have an iron grip, and financial pipeline to keep things status quo. It was a big shocker when I went to Deep Creek for the first time decades ago and went to a local 7-11 type place and there was wine and beer. And it didn't matter what day it was. I thought right wingers in Garret County would be in church not drinking. 😉😁😎

But the truth is far more predictable: keeping competition down by limiting alcohol licenses.

But the truth is far more predictable: keeping competition down by limiting alcohol licenses. Best I can tell from my readings, since I didn't live here till 83. NJ, PA and MD still have some deep rooted shall we say channels that allow (or not) things like when, where or how you buy your beer. And those things are finally slowly being taken apart. But the problem is trickle down politics..... I don't mean that is as being derogatory, but most of liquor licensing/selling/distribution is local, very local. I used to work in a liquor store as a clerk/bartender. And one thing I saw in NJ was that there was, way more than Distributer ABC not bidding low enough to beat out Distributer DOM or POL. This stuff is going to take more time. Especially since it is more that obvious that there are bigger problems than buying a 18 pack at 7-11 on Sunday. Oh wait! I heard stupider things that local pols worry about. Actually most all pols ✌

It’s not just Kid Rock who is unhinged. Many posters here have revealed a lot about themselves on this thread through unhinged posts.
Others we knew were unhinged long ago.
That we’re still talking about this is a sad commentary on the priorities of some people here.

My guess is AB's bigger issue is the emergence of small local breweries,IPAs etc. Don't know if they play in that space at all? Doubt it. Their core competencies don't align with those trends. Really just a guess.

That we’re still talking about this is a sad commentary on the priorities of some people here. Strong sense of deja vu here. I'm old enough to remember when gays came out, as a movement. Same stuff. They were mentally ill, just trying to get attention, a danger to kids etc. My mother's youngest brothers, twins, were both gay. One died young, one just a couple years ago. After my grandmother died, about 1977, my dad was chatting with my grandfather and the subject of my uncles' sexual orientation came up. Grandfather said he had always known though never discussed. Daddy asked if grandma had known. Grandfather said no, "she didn't know what that was." Times change. However slowly!
