In the newspaper Entertainment section where they list Today’s Birthdays, you only recognize the names of people over 55. 😳😕

I'm the Eldest Son or Daughter of the bunch and You're NEXT!!! All my Grandparents both sides save one were dead long before I was born. Nannie lasted till I was about 8. I am 66 2 years older than when my Dad died. It is a weird feeling when I think about that....I have live longer than any male before me best I can tell by the records. Long life spans don't seem to run on my side. Now my wife she is 70 and she is a youngster compared to the rest of here family. They are only considered old when they hit 80. She has several relatives that are or have lived past 100. Good genes I guess. It must be....she is still moving around and doing things like she did when I met her 35 years ago. Amazing women. Me....let me show you my zipper for my heart surgery.....and down here ….look at my recent knee surgery. 😄

Dad's folks passed in their 70's. GMom from cancer, GDad went into anesthetic shock on the table for prostate surgery and that was it. Mom's folks (Non-Smokers) made it into their 90's but it wasn't pretty. Senile Dementia, Mini-Strokes, Congestive Heart Failure .etc. Both my Mom & Dad went in their mid-70's both from the Bjg C from Smoking like I still do. So, for myself I don't see any reason to hang on really long past that. If I was Rich maybe but I'm Not so why deal with more Crap late in life. "I'm Old, I could Go tomorrow. I Hope I go Tomorrow. I haven't gone Today!" - Rodney Dangerfield

Well we did have 3 stations... and a test pattern the emitted an annoying sound when they were off the air. I lived outside of NYC so we had for the 60's a fairly large selections of stations. Six station channels, 2,4,5,7,9 and 11. On good days you could pick up Philadelphia 3 and 10 plus we had Public TV 13. Anybody remember the Indian Chief test pattern? Funny even with the comparative limitations on selection to now a day. Well gee.....there was actually something worth watching most of the time. Now it is almost a shocker with cable if it is worth watching or if it is/was it has been repeated twenty times.

My son knows I belong to the Old Baltimore FB groups and how I love the old photos, so he got me one of those books from B&N called Baltimore Radio & Television. Kid’s tv shows were simple and naive in the early days. Not much was required to entertain us. Same for prime time tv for adults. Looking at the pictures and reading the names makes the memories come flowing back. 😊

An older kid told me he was really Stu Kerr dressed as a clown. I didn't believe him so to prove it we waited out back until Stu Kerr came out the rear door. That was the day I learned HUmpty Dumpty was pushed.

Called to check on a relative who is in a nursing home. He’s ok. The nurse on his floor told me that he called her in a couple days ago to say his penis died. The next day she found him walking the halls with his penis hanging out. She immediately ran over to him and asked what he was doing. He told her today’s the viewing

You know you are getting old if.........
You are a gun owner and you start wondering who should get them and are looking for the method necessary to do so in MD.
Sidenote: I am also understanding how firearms just get passed on and simply 'disappear' off the state registration rolls.

Each grandkid gets a .22 and the rest to auction, at least that's my wish.

Do you think those you leave behind will know what to do LEGALLY. I am NOT attacking you please understand that. I am just giving you the heads up I am working on. Hope it is helpful.

The younger gkids will have their rifles held by parents at least until they're old enough to use them responsibly. The fun stuff and higher dollar collectables the wife doesn't like go to auction.
