Best nothern VA wineries, IMO: Breaux North Gate Creek's Edge Sunset Hills Delaplane Bluemont (not so much for the wine, but the view) North Gate is good but haven't been there since it was sold. Sunset Hills is good also. You need to stop by Two Twisted Posts if you haven't already. We have been to all of them. I had RDV wine at a restaurant and it was very good but you need an appt to visit and a tour & tasting is $65.( ouch ) Joseph Phelps was only $75 for a private tasting on the veranda ...

If you don't answer the question, you must be another parody. I know you are, but what am I? Gawd, grow up. You used the term but won't say what it means. Guess you missed the govt part ....... Guessing one of the 2 of you used to be Heisenberg/ ministerscat . Let it go dude. Even if I was your mother somewhere else, this is a new board for crying out loud. Stick to the topic. Holy cow. Here's what you said:

That's a shame since I really liked the old owners. Hopefully the wine will continue to be as good as it was under them.

A lot of those DC types have moved to Lake Linganore. I have not been this year but it wasn't too bad when I was there last year. I want to focus on some new ones in VA since I'll be moving there soon. What part.? There's some good ones right across the bridge to Harpers Ferry. The valley has some really good ones and there's always Charlottesville. I am moving to the Shenandoah Valley at the end of August, a couple of people have told me to check out Cedar Creek and Muse Vineyard. Hoping to get to one in September.

At 1st they were only open every other weekend. Did stop by once the started all weekends. We got several friends hooked.

I've not called anybody a racist.

Jesus why are people obsessed with labeling others? DC type? Seriously? Who cares....just go and enjoy the wine. I'm still trying to find out what it means. The dude won't tell me. DC type... to ME it means a 3 piece suit. I worked in PG for 10 or so years, hated it, hated DC types.

To me they are the govt workers or ones who work for companies that have ties to govt. The ones that grew out of the area they worked in and sprawled out.

Even Chuck Thompson thought they were funny.

Did you enjoy it when you visited? I've never been. The only part of VA I've been to recently is Alexandria for business meetings. I promised my wife I would take her to The Inn at Little Washington one weekend.

I promised my wife I would take her to The Inn at Little Washington one weekend. Enjoy! I went about 5 years ago. The service and food were 10 stars however, I didn't really enjoy the overall experience. Other guests seemed uptight and stuffy, not very friendly. I felt like I was in a library because other guests were whispering, not talking. Maybe I just went at a time where there were a bunch of old stuffy people.
