Kinda reminded me of Oppenheimer. Very well-made film. Great performances and scenery but it's a cold film that lacks someone to root for and loses momentum in its final act.
Still, the simplistic evil on display in the film was unsettling.

I still haven't watched the movie but I'm reading the book now. Will watch the movie not long after I finish the book.

Just finished the book and movie.
Kind of wish I had watched the movie before reading the book. The movie, which is very well produced and acted, only tells a fraction of the story.
Still it’s another great Scorsese True-Crime thriller. And the dramatization sticks very close to the historical record of the events.
And it’s another phenomenal performance by Robert DeNiro.
I sort of agree with Pickle about the film lacking someone to root for. The most sympathetic character of course is Mollie played by Lily Gladstone and the Osage people of course who were victims of the murderous conspiracy…
