One of the dynamics that is going to play out over the next several months is that a lot of voters simply have not been paying attention to the upcoming election. This never fails to surprise people like us who spend an irregular amount of time following and discussing politics but it bears out in focus group after focus group. We're not normal.
The normal voters are now waking up to the realization that Trump is the likely GOP nominee and that, barring something extraordinary, he'll be running against Biden.
How this significant percentage of voters reacts to this realization is probably going to be the difference maker in 2024. Do they stay home? Do they galvanize in a desperate effort to 'save the country' by preventing Trump of Biden from a 2nd term? Do they vote third party?

Actually, the GOP put abortion on the ballot for the UPCOMING election. Have a great day Got something to support that claim? Yes, the fact that the Wisconsin GOP has literally put a 14 week abortion ban on the ballot for the upcoming April election.

OK, I see your point. 2023 was such a long, long time ago. You said abortion was not a big voter concern and cited a survey from March 2023, which you incorrectly labeled as ‘voter concerns in 2024’. Joy provided you with two examples, one from Kansas in August 2022 and another from Ohio in November 2023. You then said ‘that was then, this is now’. What exactly is now? Certainly not your 10 month old survey which is several months older than the Ohio abortion results.

I do all the time. Except your inability to comprehend facts, logic and detailed thinking probably confuses you. That is why I opt for video when replying to you now as I figured that I have to accommodate the lowest denominator. I mean picture books are the first things kids experience, I figured this was the next best thing in getting my point across to you. 😎😝

And Biden's the senile one? It is more than obvious that, save the fact that Donnie was born with a silver spoon in his mouth that he would have likely been riding the short bus to public school. Now that he has aged, it is pretty apparent that his is losing the few marbles he ever had.

Reason: Voter issues in Texas will probably differ markedly from those in Montana. 2. I don't view 2023 as being a long time ago and I don't see that much has changed since 2023 that might make voters change their minds about the priorities. But since you disagree here is something more recent. Do you think opinion from December 2023 is outdated?

I agree that things play differently state vs local as well as single issue referendum vs presidential election. December 2023 is very recent!

Correct, but arguing that democrats and independent women aren't concerned about abortion access nationwide does not reflect a firm grasp on reality. And, I know you know this, but putting abortion on the ballot via a referendum in a state that might prove decisive in the election strikes me as a risky strategy for the GOP, based on how that issue has played for them in recent elections.
