Anyone know a way to remove a price tag from a paper article that won't destroy the article? I have some books and I want the price tags off of them if I can manage it. Thanks.

Blow some heat on the tag. The adhesive gets a bit gooey and is removable.

Try a product called Goo Gone, it's great stuff. Any hardware or craft store carries it. Take a cotton ball and dampen it with Goo Gone, then dab the tag. It's citrus based and dissolves the adhesive. Try peeling off as much of the tag first, as long as it doesn't tear the cover paper. it works faster. Then take a paper towel and wipe the damp adhesive off.

The problem in this case is that it also dissolves the ink on the cover of the book in question. Ask me how I know.
