Kitchen sink was stopped up Friday night. I can usually fix clogs with boiling water, baking soda and vinegar but that didn't work, the clog got worse and the water didn't recede at all over night. Two bottles of Drain-O, plunging the sink, and a plumbing snake later, the problem still wasn't solved. So I had no choice. Plumber is scheduled to come out this afternoon.
So frustrating.

Oof. Sorry to hear it. Best of luck. I am relentlessly careful, to the point of irritating other people, about not putting grease down there.

Hopefully it's not a giant nest of drain spiders

When that happened to me - kitchen sink - and I finally called the plumber he found a break in the line under my floor. Yeah. That was so much fun. And $$$. Fingers crossed it is something easier for you!

Fingers crossed it is something easier for you! Was the water leaking anywhere? When they dug up the floor it was leaking there! But not visibly on the surface. They also screwed up by "estimating" too far away and what should have been on foot from the sink where the pipe crushed, ended up being six feet of floor being jackhammered for no reason. (Breathe.) lol

Well thankfully my problem wasn't that major. The plumber was here for about 30 mins and unclogged the drain with his industrial auger. I was about to rent one myself Saturday but the rental place was closing and I had run out of steam by then. Lesson learned. Next time.
