Huh. I thought only Republicans were being held accountable for their misdeeds. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Get him out of Congress and into a prison cell. And don't offer him a plea deal. Elected officials should be held to a higher standard.

If he's found guilty he should be expelled from the House. And, there's no reason for the House Ethics committee not to look into this as well. Some of us actually do believe that no one should be above the law.

Some of us actually do believe that no one should be above the law. That wasn't the standard you applied to George Santos. All you needed for him was the indictment. Clearly you're holding Cuellar to a lower standard. Pretty sure you want Gaetz out too. Gaetz hasn't even been indicted. I mean this is you, right: baltimoresunreunited.freeforums.net/post/445897

My punishment was assuming he's found guilty. I don't think he should serve in Congress while that pends, however. In the same way and for the same reason some criminal suspects are not granted bail: it's too dangerous.

Kind of refreshing to see good old fashioned graft. Simple greed. Straight forward crime. And good on DOJ for ferreting these rats out.

Did someone mention Azerbaijan? The Azerbaijan with a trump tower? Lest we forget and not to be out done: The President helped build a hotel in Azerbaijan that appears to be a corrupt operation engineered by oligarchs tied to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. For an expensive hotel, the Trump Tower Baku is in an oddly unglamorous location: the underdeveloped eastern end of downtown, which is dominated by train tracks and is miles from the main business district, on the west side of the city. Across the street from the hotel is a discount shopping center; the area is filled with narrow, dingy shops and hookah bars. Other hotels nearby are low-budget options: at the AYF Palace, most rooms are forty-two dollars a night. There are no upscale restaurants or shops. Any guests of the Trump Tower Baku would likely feel marooned. www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/03/13/donald-trumps-worst-deal

That's what we base the facts on. Jesus, do the work. You mention McC and you mention Greenburg but you fail to say anything about Gaetz. I wonder why that is. Could it be you didn't understand my question or is it because you too have no facts with which to smear Gaetz? I don't know much about Gaetz but I do know I get annoyed when people cast aspersions on someone w/o presenting any facts to substantiate said aspersions. BTW, who is Gate and what does he/she (insert pronoun of your choice) have to do with Gaetz or Cuellar or Azerbaijan?

Gaetz is one of the slimiest individuals I've ever seen. Getting caught in "lie after lie about everything" is normal DC behavior. I mean, how many times has Biden claimed Beau was killed in Iraq? And then there was his "my uncle was eaten by cannibals!" riff. Gaetz was the victim of an extortion scheme by a former FBI agent. It might be that he's guilty of everything you giys think he did, but hasn't been charged because if he ends up in court, he takes the FBI down with him. Or it might be that all the accusations are bogus.

McCarthy: I know Trump is paid by Putin.
Also McCarthy: Gaetz is worse than Santos.
And you wonder why they forced McCarthy out.

Apparently not or you would have seen this "I don't know much about Gaetz..." I have asked people here to tell me why Gaetz might not be a good person, should not be viewed as a role model and why I should or should not admire and like the man. So far people have tap danced around those questions in a manner that would make Savion Glover jealous.
