In case you didn't know... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaujolais_nouveauI will admit it's a holiday my wife and I observe and I will be celebrating at home tonight by cooking a French dinner and enjoying a bottle or two (or three). It's the official kick-off of the holiday season for me, ending with New Year's Day. BN is the perfect Thanksgiving wine since it's light and pairs well with turkey. Look for it in your local liquor store. They should carry it. À votre santé!

I've yet to taste a really good one, it is, at best, an ok quaffing plonk, and I'm no wine snob believe me.

We had a "Holiday Wine" tasting and they included a bunch of Beaujolais and pairings with holiday food. None of them really stood out. The Charly Thevenet was probably the best they offered us.
I found out something pretty cool. If you are trying to get your Sommelier's rating (you can do it online) then the wine you buy is a tax write off.

i just discover wine.com. You can buy almost any wine you want and they ship it to your door. I fell in love with a pinot noir when I was working down in Chile. I couldn't find it anywhere else but they have it. So I ordered a couple of bottles. It should be fun..
