Anyone like these? Made a bunch last weekend when we had company. Finally got to use my crusher that's been collecting dust. Now I have it out and in the kitchen!! Uh oh!!

I'm sure that it would be quite lovely with a large Gin or Vodka in it. Sadly, I'll never know, being on blood thinners I am not allowed to have grapefruit.

These have one whole crushed grapefruit, vodka or grapefruit vodka and a splash of sparkling grapefruit water. Refreshing on a hot day. I'm trying watermelon crushes for company this weekend.

My wife loves them, but I don’t like grapefruit. I also tend to avoid crushes for the most part as they’re too sweet for me. My wife can make a good, non sweet crush, so I’ll drink the ones she makes.

The watermelon was good but def on the sweeter side so I added some fresh lime.

That makes a big difference. So if you're having an orange crush, use orange LaCroix, watermelon crush, the watermelon LaCroix, etc. I actually had a crush at Sunset Grille over the weekend. It was called "Off Centered Cursh" with Dogfish Head Honey Barrel Rum, Triple Sec, Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice, Lemon-Lime Soda. It was a tad sweet but not too bad.

Good suggestion... that's what I do. I've never used Sprite in my crushes. Mmm... Off Centered Crush sounds good. I might substitute the Triple Sec with orange vodka though!! Great summer drinks by the pool!!

Now that I have got off of Warfarin (rat poison) and am onto Apixaban, I am allowed to have grapefruit, so maybe I'll give the crush a go, but propably with the gin in it.

I have no idea what they are. Can someone post what traditionally goes into a crush - minus the liquor?...

Grapefruit has been meddling with Left Coast beer throughout the pandemic and it's a big mistake.

I have no idea what they are. Can someone post what traditionally goes into a crush - minus the liquor?... Sorry, I just saw this... I fill a glass with ice, lots of ice, add one shot of grapefruit vodka (you can skip this). Crush one whole red ruby grapefruit, add to the ice and fill the rest of the rest of the way with something carbonated, Spite, tonic, club soda. Shake and enjoy!!
