sourceThe best .22LR? Maybe a bit of an overstatement but not by much. It wouldn't surprise me if not many have heard of this but I have. I've had one since the 90s. Is it really that accurate? Yes. Even better, after thousands of rounds it still is. Me and some friends put hundreds of rounds through it one afternoon. Only had to stop once because the extractor got gummed up. I temporarily had a scope on it but let's be real. It is a .22LR. How far are you going to shoot it? I took the scope off. You don't really need a scope and the open sights work just fine. The other nice thing about this rifle is the longevity. Seriously. Thousands of rounds. Still works great! So if you see this bolt action .22LR don't just give it a 'meh' and walk away. It really is a fine rifle. Mine has been a great workhorse for plinking away which you can do for hours on end due to .22LR being dirt cheap.

I have a 10/22 myself. But I still have my 1st rifle, a Montgomery Wards .22 bolt action, tube feed rifle. Not 100 percent sure but I think Mossberg made them for the Wards "Western Field" line. Dad got it for me for Xmas after learning to shoot at Broad Creek Scout Ranch.

Still love my Marlin.22 semi auto long rifle, with 18 round tubular magazine under the barrel.
