Is anyone else watching The Beatles Get Back on Disney? It’s really good, although a lot. Sad and funny. And so Much great insight into the creative process. I love music and movies but have almost zero ability. Pure spectator. But I love seeing all of this super talented people get into the studio to create magic. Juggling egos, agendas, girlfriends/wives, corporate interests, and the press to make pure music masterpieces.

The quality of Peter Jackson's handling of the archived footage is remarkable. It's like they're back. Yes, creatives are abuzz about the Beatle method for composing. To have written 14 songs in two weeks under the barrage of other pressures is jaw dropping. What wasn't adequately made clear was John slugged George precipitating his leaving the group. But they were a band of brothers in the truest sense.
The doc lays to rest in my mind that Yoko didn't break the band though I'm sure she didn't help. It was Epstein's death leaving them rudderless. That led to the Alan Klein disaster which was the genuine end. But as a wise man once said, all things must pass.
Forgot how much we smoked back then. Or the zero attention paid to hair products. Absolutely wonderful.
An early iteration of Get Back
