Tomato sauce day today - industrial sized batch - five pounds of meatballs and five pounds of sausage in a 40 quart stainless pot courtesy of my dad's kitchen after he passed. We'll freeze five large rubbermaid containers and use the remainder for fresh pasta later today. I'm just steering clear of the Mrs. in her kitchen, as she's wielding large knives.

The Thursday storm is a rain-snow mix which usually gets us the 2 inches of slop. The weekend may deliver much, much more. It could be a costal low meets a Canadian cold front. It could be a costal low meets a Canadian cold front. Die einsame Schneeflocke and all his buddies. Though it sucks I can deal with rain/snow mixes. It is when it turns into boilerplate overnight before you can get to it that is the problem

It is when it turns into boilerplate overnight before you can get to it that is the problem The high for Washington DC on Friday is forecasted to be a balmy 25F. So if the 2 inches of slop is still there it will turn into 2 inches of rock hard slop. The kind where you need a pick axe to shovel the drive.

We got about an inch. The forecast changed for this by the day & hours. Tuesday, dusting to an inch. Tuesday night, dusting to 2 inches. Yesterday, 1-3 inches and the way out National Weather Service saying 5-8 inches last night. So it was one.

Got about a half inch yesterday morning and another inch last night. Easy shoveling with it being powder. Pretty windy which will cause more snow blowing across the roads.

I texted my sister who lives in Ventnor City NJ just south of AC and they have over a foot or more already. A BLOCK FROM THE OCEAN.
That hardly ever happens there per them.
