Not much to say, really. The best to ever throw a football around.

I hated him too, but there is no denying the greatness. He never possessed the most talented arm, never was much with his feet, and his overall physical abilities never seemed to rise to the level of some of his contemporaries. All he did was win. He outsmarted, outplayed, and out prepared his opponents for 22 years to become the most successful QB in history by a large margin. His contemporaries and those who come after should take note that he also never tried to break the bank contract-wise which allowed his teams to put the pieces of greatness around him that helped to fuel his success.

Surprised. I know he talked about playing until he was 50. It may have been unrealistic but he just had one of his best statistical seasons. I guess he figured he wanted to go out on top.
Can’t say I’ll miss him.

More recent reports are claiming this is a rumor. Brady himself has not told Ariens that he plans to retire as of this writing.

Yeah seems like it was premature to run with this.
To be honest I was kind of surprised he was retiring after having one of his best seasons.

Yup, ESPN has some major egg on it's face. Brady is disputing it.

Let's see...
Giselle or some 280 lb defensive end who wants to run me over and hurt me? Hmmm... 😀

Not even sure how I know how to feel about it, quite honestly. Nearly half of my adult life he's been in the NFL. Feels weird. Ditto with Roethlisberger, Brees, Rivers, the Mannings, etc.

It got to the point where I was so tired of Brady when he was with the Patriots that I couldn't stand watching him play. I was impressed with his first season with the Bucs... this season I was right back to being sick of Brady. LOL..
I thought it was very low class of ESPN to make the announcement ahead of Tom Brady. He more than earned the right to do it on his own terms. I almost wish he would have stayed one more year, out of spite.
Looking forward to football next season with no Tom Brady but I do respect much of what he has done.
I guess Collinsworth will have to find another man crush.

Bucs about to be very average again. All depends what happens with the upcoming QB musical chairs. TB still has a solid offense and defense. And play in a really weak division.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Rodgers go to TB... And I think the Steelers will be in the running for a QB as well.

And I think the Steelers will be in the running for a QB as well. I could see Rodgers to TB too, but knowing he's a Niner's fan I was thinking he might go. But then again, he may still hold a grudge over them choosing Alex Smith over him. I'm still leaning on him staying put though. I really can't see him wanting to go to Pittsburgh. They don't look ready to win now like some other teams. Lots of teams are going to be in the market this offseason. Sadly there is a dearth of available talent in FA or the draft. www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/quarterback/

Ugghhh.... I was so looking forward to football without Tom Brady. Today free agency starts and all I heard this morning is blah, blah, blah Tom Brady.

Could this be his year to join POSTOL? That's the "Played One Season Too Long" Club.

www.sportingnews.com/us/amp/nfl/news/tom-brady-last-touchdown-ball-auction/zns6h169jolftukuizd4cx2zTom Brady rocked the sports world on Sunday, announcing his intention to end his retirement — which lasted all of 40 days — and return to the Buccaneers for the 2022 season. It's an update that should have Tampa Bay fans jumping for joy — except for one unlucky bidder, who is now likely cursing their terrible luck. According to a Sunday report from ESPN, the ball that represents Brady's last touchdown pass (for now) recently sold for $518,000, per auction site Lelands.Aww, that’s unfortunate 😂

As someone familiar with comic book prices, I can tell you there are a lot of people who buy the "latest hot thing" and are then angry and disappointed when the value plummets a year later. Any kind of memorabilia is so speculative that it really isn't a good investment. Unless you're also the sort of person who thinks pink sheet stocks are your ticket to financial security.

As someone familiar with comic book prices, I had some probably valuable comics when I was a kid - Iron Man 1, 2, Ghostrider 1. Of course my mother threw them all away when I moved out, lol.

My cousin collected all the big originals in the late-90s, early-00s and sold them all as the big comic book movie boom was happening around 2010. Bought a new house in Eldersburg with the money he made. Me? I was a Punisher fan so those comics are probably worth less than what I paid for them.

A Ghost Rider #1 from 1973, in 9.4+ (Near Mint) is worth around $1200. I own one, but not in that good a shape. Mine's worth maybe $800. Maybe. (That's if the book has been professionally graded and then slabbed.) The others, I do not know.
