Alvin Kamara has been arrested for assault and serious bodily injury. I wonder when the video will be released. If all that is being reported is true, this is really disturbing. I can't imagine taking one punch from AK, let alone 8 of them and being attacked by a group of men. Story Here

Yeah, horrible story. Sounds like the beating they gave the man could have caused a lot more damage than it did.
I'm guessing he's played his last snap in the NFL.

He's 26...I don't know how high a level he'll be playing at at age 28 or 29.

Not to mention a pretty hefty civil suit coming his way.

Kareem Hunt was released by the Chiefs but still plays for the Browns now. Well, playing for the Browns is sorta like punishment, per se.

Highly doubtful. Kamara still plays at a high level and the NFL will overlook almost anything for talent. This. When you hear about a guy getting cut following a police encounter, that guy is always a lower tier player. The only reason the Ravens cut Ray Rice bac in the day was that he was clearly washed up at that point. Otherwise they'd have defended him. And so it is with every team.

The NFL did take action but I think they need to revisit some of their policies regarding player conduct off the field.

I recall the Ravens standing behind him until the video was released. They did. Once the public knew what he'd done he no longer had enough talent left to survive that. How much the Ravens knew beforehand remains an open question, but I have always assumed the NFL has more information than anyone else about these incidents. They have an excellent league security staff and a lot of money to throw at "amateur filmmakers".

It wasn’t just the Ravens, it was the NFL.
They had all seen the tape and up until then the policy on domestic abuse was a few games.
When the tape came out everything changed.
Thankfully, it forced the league’s hand to take this behavior more seriously.
But if Ray Rice has been coming off a great season (his last season was lackluster) he may have still played again. Who knows.
It’s all very inconsistent.
