Today's temperatures, and those this coming week, are warmer than typical but they are not outside my experience. And then the next 6 days after that, well below normal temperatures, snow on Wednesday alienrace, I see you subscribe to the former president’s view on climate change; it’s about this week’s weather. I prefer to watch what the animals are doing from year to year. They don’t watch the weather reports.

You don't see them when the pond is frozen. Saturday morning they were in the pond & farmers field.

Geese don't like snow and ice - they can't eat when the ground is covered in snow. That's what determines the migration more than anything. Typically a few warm days, and they'll start heading north until they hit ice and snow. I wonder if the OP will notice if the geese move back south when it snows Wednesday?

Warmer weather, no frozen ground…climate change? So what "warmer weather" were you referencing? Because for most of the past two months the weather has been below normal temperatures.

Give me a planet where the planet-wide average is 70 degrees with a standard deviation of 5 degrees or so. Boring weather is for me; exciting weather, I do not need. I also do not need winter, ever.

Hope the Farmers Almanac is correct. So far in March we have seen wild temp swings and days a high speed wind gusts. And we are supposed to get snain early tomorrow morning. Just in time for the rush hour ..... naturally.🙄
What does it mean in like a lion out like a lamb?
But where does it come from? According to the Farmers' Almanac, the weather folklore stems from ancestral beliefs in balance, meaning if the weather at the start of March was bad (roaring, like a roaring lion), the month should end with good weather (gentle, like a lamb).

Birds are laying eggs earlier, a new study shows. Scientists blame the climate crisis www.cnn.com/2022/03/25/world/bird-eggs-earlier-than-normal-climate-scn/index.htmlUsing a modern and a Victorian-era collection of egg samples, researchers found that several bird species in the Chicago area nest and lay eggs almost a full month earlier now than they did a century ago, according to a study published Friday in the Journal of Animal Ecology.

But I think I am going to go a bit early this year.

And this is exactly why I can't take the climate alarmists seriously. There is no way that 1 degree of avg temp change is making birds lay eggs a month earlier than before. Read that back to yourself, and tell me it doesn't sound ridiculous. I also saw on the weather channel some ludicrous misinformation. One day last week there was a very strong wind blowing water up the bay, causing a bit of flooding. Guy literally said "this is evidence of Climate Change". The sea level has literally risen only 6 inches in the last 100 years. These are the "scientists" and "experts"? How can you trust someone like this? For the record, I do believe that our climate is changing, and that human activity does contribute *some*. I don't believe there is a "crisis". That is also man made in my opinion. Even the experts concede that the warming trend started in the pre-industrial age. Should we strive for more energy efficiency? Hell yes we should. Should we strive for a cleaner planet? Hell yes we should! One can be an environmentalist without subscribing to the hysterical posturing that leftists and those that would greatly profit like to peddle.

I think we all have to readjust what we hear on the new today. Uncle Walter used to report the facts with little or no embellishment. Now we have mostly embellishment with little or no facts. Now I am not saying we aren't screwing up the eco system. We are. But in the 24/7.... click bait news reporting style...... which is going to make the viewer pay attention long enough to register in 'the master computer'? Which of the following is going to do that? 1- "this is evidence of Climate Change". or 2- "While worrisome and should be paid attention to; in fact the sea level has literally risen only 6 inches in the last 100 years." 🤑
