We dropped hundreds of Steinways into war zones during WWII. They were called Victory Verticals and were parachuted in crates. People believed back then it was better not to be fearful and that music would help morale. How times have changed. Attachments:

Pretty amazing stories both big an small about the sacrifices some are willing to make.
And on the flip side, just the opposite. Like in the US; bytching because fuel prices went up and as if their world is coming to an end.
