Rodgers got what he wanted from GB, link the largest contract in NFL history...which is exactly why he will never be as good as Brady. $200M over 4 years, with $153M guaranteed. The only folks they are going to be able to afford to have around him are going to have to be league cast offs.

He cried all offseason last year about a lack of weapons and then once again takes the max deal. I'm sure he'll be whining in 2023 when he's still tied with Joe Flacco with 1 SB win.

What I dislike about it is that it raises the bar for quarterbacks right when the Ravens are considering what to offer theirs. Now, Jackson is not (yet) worth Rodgers money. But that pesky rising tide...

But that pesky rising tide... Sadly this sort of thing is the reason that I really don't follow football or baseball seriously anymore. I used to watch everything. It is no longer about the sport.....but more about the financial aspect. We have seen it. Some guy tears up an ACL. First thing (it seems) out of the media's mouth is NOT the likelyhood of it being fixed and playing again...... they are spouting about the contract terms, caps and so on.
