I made a cauliflower " mac and cheese". It was good but it was really just cauliflower au gratin! 😁😁 Cauliflower mac and cheese?? Why would you put that into the same mouth that likes BLTs and Persian Chicken? I'm not sure why cauliflower is allowed to exist as a veggie...though, to my great chagrin, a friend made a very well seasoned cauliflower mash that was more than edible. I'll see if i can find the recipe. It's really good grilled too! Olive oil and whatever seasoning you like, I like to use a Cajun seasoning on the cauli! I have been grilling all of my veggies lately... just an entire different taste.

Thank you, this sounds really good. Interesting method with the mound of rice on top!! I'll have to try this one for sure.

This one sounds good too, thanks! Do you use chicken breast? I worry it will dry out.

I don't think I've cooked with saffron so I am going to make the recipe that alienrace provided.

Yesterday, I had vegan General Tso's chicken, but cauliflower, and a green bean dish, also vegan, for lunch with a friend. Truly not everything is meant to be made with cauliflower. Pizza crust and this are two. lol Sorry, cauli! I would love some General Tso chicken. There's like only one halfway decent Chinese restaurant near me which everyone raves about but the truth is it's not much better than the average Baltimore City yakima joint. No Indian food either. I'm a skeleton.

I love Korean food in general after being exposed to it when I met my wife. We eat it quite often, but I've somewhat recently developed an intolerance that results in crippling intestinal spasms/cramps. I've been able to mitigate it with (expensive) peppermint pills and aspirin when an attack occurs, so I have been eating it, but I have to be cautious and keep it in moderation. I'm angry with my parents for passing this genetic flaw upon me! LOL. If I had to say, what my favorite, absolute favorite food is...gonna have to go with a good, wagyu cut. My father who is nearing the end of his time on this planet likes to treat my family with shipments of it from Snake River Farms every so often. He also has sent us some Chilean sea bass, which is simply amazing as well. I'm gonna miss the old guy when he's gone (not just because he sends us food). Another food I really crave is this Persian chicken recipe my wife found that we grill. I also love a big ole Nathan's hot dog. Best if grilled and covered with peppers and onions. Appears whatever ailed me is gone Back to loving kimchi in large quantities! I had salmonella poisoning about a month before that all happened - apparently even after you are well, it's possible small colonies can still live in your large intestine for quite a awhile and cause those symptoms. The more you know....

Summertime grilled fresh vegetables are the best. I'll use EVOO instead of butter with the grilling, wrapped in foil. We also grill Salmon, pork tenderloin, ribs, and sausages (par boiled first, only finished on the grill). I don't barbeque a lot of chicken on the grill as it doesn't quite cook evenly and tends to be drier and tougher than a good sauté. The veggies used to come from my own vegetable garden, but deer... Wintertime is crockpot soups, stews, and chili. Though I'm still a fan of firing up the grill even in cold weather for all of the above. We'll bake our own bread in the winter. If I had an outdoor brick oven, I'd be making bread and pizza all summer long too, but I can only dream about that... Have you tried brining the chicken for a few hours?

We've marinated chicken before grilling, but not brining. Does it help hold in the moisture from the grill? I'll give it a go.

Since watching Dr Oz and his grocery trip I want to try coup d'etats. Organic is best.

Koco's, Faidley's, Papa's and Fratelli's have the best crabcakes you can get out, in my experiences.
Of course, the cakes we make at home are the best and most value friendly.
We even jazzed up the Koco's cakes we made at home had last night.

I don't think G&M crabcakes are all that great and are certainly overpriced. During Covid, I bought crabcakes twice from their carryout - not worth the stress or price. Lesson learned.
