A steal for the Panthers. I'm a huge Baker fan now. Disliked him when he was on the Browns but the way they treated him makes me wanna root for him now that he's out of the division and conference. With the issues Deshaun Watson has looking like they won't go away, it seems like Jacoby Brissett could be the Browns starting QB a bunch this year. www.si.com/nfl/panthers/news/panthers-trade-for-browns-qb-baker-mayfield

Browns gotta Brown. I used to call the Orioles MLB's Browns and it wasn't a compliment. Those teams, until the last few years, were amazingly similar. The Angelos scions may be correcting the Orioles; no one appears to be fixing what's wrong with the Browns. Of course, that whole stealing from his customers thing (read about Flying J truck stops for more on that) told you what you needed to know about Jimmy Haslam, and also made you not be sorry at any misfortune that falls into his lap.

I'm happy for Baker, the Browns did him dirty.

And as fate would have it, the Browns and Panthers play week 1!

The Browns...just being the Browns. 5-11 at best.

Love the train wreck. Ran their best QB since 1999 out of town, traded away 3 1st round picks plus others and guaranteed $230 million for a QB that will likely be 2+ years away from football whenever he finally takes the field.

The Browns...just being the Browns. 5-11 at best. I don't think they'll be that bad, even with Brissett. They have talent on both sides of the ball. I'm thinking 7-10 or 8-9 might be in the works.

I have started wondering of they have had assurances from Goodell that no serious penalties are coming Watson's way. Otherwise this is an odd play, even for them. It seems unlikely - Goodell is all about the league's image, and Watson's deeds are surely a stain on that escutcheon.
