Stanley questionable Houston out Bateman out Others I have forgotten... I think they can win this if MacDonald can figure out what's wrong on defense. If not, then Lamar better be extra-Lamary this week, scoring *a lot*.

If not, then Lamar better be extra-Lamary this week, scoring *a lot*. I have been reading little snippets about Stanley and his work ethic not being his strong point. Though immensely talented and gifted, that even prior to his ankle ..... if he got a boo-boo he'd use it as an excuse not to practice etc. But even without practice his gifts were more than enough to allow him to beat up on defensive linemen ON GAME DAY. Have you heard that?

I do not expect Stanley to ever take the field again as a Raven. I would not be surprised to see him retire once he has collected all the money he is "owed".

Unconfirmed reports are that Stanley *will* suit up and take the field tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

I don't expect to win this game but this is usually when the Ravens respond in a big way.

Solid win and great game by the defense. Glad the Ravens decided to use the kicker this week.

Solid win and great game by the defense. Glad the Ravens decided to use the kicker this week. Good game overall by the D but they still allowed the Bengals to take lead late in 4Q. If not for Lamar's scrambling ability on that last drive this would have been another bad collapse at home.

The defense clearly improved some - starting with the pass rush. JPP has made a huge impact. When Houston returns, it should be pretty formidable. Secondary played better, though at times got a little lost, or missed tackles. Overall though, you cannot complain about holding the Bengals to 17pts and Burrow to a little over 200 yards given what he did last year. Seems the Ravens figured something out about the Bengals - stick to zone.
Lamar had an off game - though early on he was tearing them up pretty good. His overthrow that led to an INT completely changed the flow of the game, and missing two easy TD's on deep throws that could have put the Bengals away wasn't his best. But, he still kept making some great throws, especially in the 4th. And then those runs, basically willed them to the win.
IMO the game felt like a pretty intense divisional slugfest, but the Ravens felt like the better team that was just missing opportunities to land the knockout. Looking at the standings, it almost seems weird to the Pats and Steelers as bottom feeders, but this is something I guess you'll need to get used to for a while. I don't see either team turning it around this year, or any time soon really.

I'd really like to see the Ravens establish the run like they did in 19 and 20.
Lamar has a great arm but he doesn't need to be passing more than 30 times a game.
The Ravens had good YPC last night...should have run the ball more.

Solid win and great game by the defense. Glad the Ravens decided to use the kicker this week. A better defensive game this week than previous, but I can't agree that it was a great performance. Adequate, I'd concede. It was an important win because instead of being in a stern chase with the Bengals they are atop the division. And, since I was vocal about it... Ronnie Stanley took the field, and did a good job. Hopefully he can stay healthy and become even more effective as the season rolls on (primarily, playing more snaps). Congratulations on fighting back, Ronnie, you've earned that. Less good news... Marcus Williams dislocated his wrist and is expected to miss significant time. Hopefully it was just stretching, which will heal on its own, and not tearing, which usually wants surgical intervention for good results.

Evil Yoda, could you now loudly pronounce that there is NO WAY POSSIBLE for the Ravens to get to the Super Bowl?

Evil Yoda, could you now loudly pronounce that there is NO WAY POSSIBLE for the Ravens to get to the Super Bowl? Sure. THERE IS NO WAY POSSIBLE FOR THE RAVENS TO GET TO THE SUPER BOWL. Note: Until now, this has only worked on Ronnie Stanley and most of the stocks I have bought, so I make no promises...

Marcus Williams heads to IR, but per Harbaugh the injury is not expected to end his season. IR to return requires a minimum of four weeks on the list, so he can't come back before about midseason, assuming he is healed by then.

Ojabo and Bowser at practice. This is terrific news.
They are 5.5 road favorites against the Giants. There's a reason - namely the Giants are having great difficulty stopping the run.
