It is, if they can sign him to an extension. Otherwise it's a pricey rental.

Best line I heard today is that Smith doesn't have an agent so that's good for the Ravens since they have experience with players representing themselves.

It is expensive in terms of losing a 2nd round pick, but not in terms of cash. Thanks to the Browns they have an excellent chance of winning the division unless they straight up collapse, which I regard as unlikely. How far they go in the playoffs with that defense? Hard to know. We'll see if Smith improves it. Recall they got Ngakoue to bolster the pass rush and he did not do much except against the Colts. For that reason I want to see what happens over the next few games before buying playoff hopes.

The talent is there in the secondary but the coaching/execution is not...yet. A ferocious pass rush could cover some of that inadequacy though.

Well, that front 7 just got a big deeper, and nastier. Tyus Bowser and David Ojabo have been activated

Ojabo could be the steal of the draft. Or Sergio Kindle.

Ojabo could be the steal of the draft. Or Sergio Kindle. What makes you think he'd be like Kindle?
