While it looks like the Ravens are going to be shorthanded, yet again, on offense, the defense is going to be more loaded than it's been all year. Saints just lost Michael Thomas for the year, so that takes away the one player who could do some damage to the Ravens.
With Andrews banged up, and maybe not playing, I think you're going to see a run-heavy offense, and I expect Jackson to have over 100 yards.

Immediate impact by Roquan Smith! Defense was mostly dominant, and physically battered the Saints. Dalton is gonna need a 48 hour ice bath. Other than Chuck Clark having a *really* bad night, and Marcus Peters having a few moments of what I can only call "laziness", they stuffed the Saints.
The offense got the run game going, and Lamar put them on his back again. Other than a couple of misfires on what would have been big plays/tds, they did a good job considering just how short handed they were.
Now they have two weeks to heal up and get ready for a rather uh, non-brutal stretch where they should be able to run away with the division.

It's nice when they beat the teams they're supposed to beat comfortably. I was able to go to bed early at 20-6 without fear that they would blow it.

35-14. That's all I have to say. You sir, were tempting fate. While I was "pretty" confident they wouldn't blow it up 27-6 with 4 minutes to go, Chuck Clark decided to give them a freebie that is even this morning, incredibly inexplicable. I think though that the difference was that the offense was able to push the Saints defense around and get a lot of yards on the ground. Plus Lamar looked possessed when he carried the ball.

22 pass attempts for Lamar, 40 rushes as a team.
Seems like a winning combination.

Early in the second half it looked like another defensive collapse was brewing, but that unit firmed up and got the job done. The Saints aren't the team they were when the weather was Breesier, but a win is a win.

The Saints have some pretty big injuries of their own. They're not as bad as their record, but they're likely not a playoff team either.

And the Saints, in a better division, had a better record but were a wild card so they had to travel to Seattle and lost out there?

Yup, and I remember the Panthers won their division at 7-9 in 2014 or so. Oh, and didn't the Redskins win the NFCE one year with a sub .500 record?

Pretty sure it was 2020 and they gave TB the hardest way to go in the playoffs that year with Taylor Heinicke as QB in his first NFL start.
