I'm no fan of the Pats. Despise them to the core. However, I have looked at this replay a dozen times, and I think they got hosed on this one. www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35103514/patriots-hunter-henry-disputes-overturned-td-loss-vikingsWhile the commentators and Mike Pereira seemed to think it was the right call, the whole time they were debating it, I kept thinking to myself, no, what are you looking at here? Henry catches the ball, with solid possession, goes to the ground with one hand under the ball, and it's firmly gripped as the hand on top comes off. The ball appears to touch the ground while his hand is still gripping it firmly, then his hand and ball comes up off the ground, still gripped, THEN the ball then comes free, and he regains control before it hits the ground. At no point was it touching the ground and "loose". IMO this was a catch at the 1/2 yard line, but not a TD as he didn't complete the process of the catch until he had rolled back out of the endzone.

I don't know. It appears to me that the ball rolled off his finger tips as he hit the ground. While his hand was under it at the start of the contact with the ground, I'm not sure it stayed that way.
