I liked the original, was a spook fan as a teen, the old Dracula's were among the best. Scariest of them all was The Exorcist especially since it was based on a true story.

I saw Halloween '18.
It's a good sequel, probably the third best movie in the series (I've always been a huge Part II fan), but there were still some things that were off about it. He killed a lot of people. Just five victims in the original movie...close to 20 in this one. Even though it was John Carpenter doing the music, I wasn't a big fan of that either.
But JLC was great in it. Myers was actually a spooky force again and not some family-member killing cult member.
It was basically a distillation of all the best things about all the sequels jammed into one movie.
From Worst to Best:
Halloween Resurrection (2002) 3/10 Halloween 5 (1989) 4/10 Halloween (2007) 5/10 Halloween II (2009) 5.5/10 Halloween III (1982) 5.5/10 Halloween 6: The Producers Cut (1995) 6/10 Halloween H20 (1998) 6.5/10 Halloween 4 (1988) 7/10 Halloween (2018) 7.5/10 Halloween II (1981) 8.5/10 Halloween (1978) 10/10

Enjoy. I've got a Halloween story that takes place parallel to the first two movies if you'd like to check it out! Yes, I would!! Just to be clear it's the first two original movies: 1978 and 1981. Here it is! And again, Rated R language and some violence! You know, the fun stuff. Haddonfield 78.docx (155.79 KB)
