I do a lot of cooking and make a lot of homemade applesauce. It's much better than that...stuff...one buys in a store. A little brown sugar, a little cinnamon, a little lemon peel and voila, great apple sauce. That however, is not the delight. I typically use a couple of ounces of filtered water to get the softening process underway. This last batch must have been particularly juicy, as I had 6 or 7 oz of pure cider left. I put a healthy shot of caramel infused vodka in it and stuck it in the freezer in an airtight container.
Had a spoonful of that soft frozen mix last night. Now THAT was the delight!

Sounds great. Wish I hadn't started a diet yesterday. If you are trying to lose weight you will of course need to determine what method works for you. But I will share from my own experience that I could not have done it denying myself every treat. I would have failed. Be good to yourself, just do it in moderation.

When you say "apple cider" do you mean apple cider vinegar, or apple juice? To me cider is an alcoholic beverage, only made from apples, if it was made with pears it would be known as perry. If it's not alcoholic, it's not cider.

What we have here is another of those failures to communicate.
