Nice job for all phases (except the punt return). Glad to get out of there with a win. And then capped off the viewing experience with the last four innings of the O's game.

A better played game, IMO, than week 1. Jackson made the right decision is most key situations and was definitely the better of the two QBs today. Receivers sure were not "undercooked appetizers" and the offense was less bland than last week. O-line for the most part held well. Defense let a few through but as a general thing did outstanding work. All around good game, better than I expected against a tough opponent.
Next up, the Colts, whose QB is in the protocol and could possibly not start.

It was definitely a huge win, and shorthanded at that. Score didn't reflect the dominance of the Ravens in this game - it really wasn't that close of a contest. I thought last year that the Bengals got lucky to catch the Ravens and win the division, and very lucky their head-to-head games at the end of the season and playoffs. IMO, the Ravens are better and have their number. This time the lucky breaks like having a flag picked up that gave them a TD (and I'm sorry, but that was most definitely a block in the back, even if the shove wasn't "forceful", it still freed the runner), weren't enough to overcome the fact that the Ravens stifled their offense much of the game. The call that took away Jackson's 30-yard run inside the 5 was ridiculous, and even the announcers agreed.
Other games, the Redskins got real lucky after blowing a hail mary defense. Jets looked like the garbage dump they really are, and the Bills bounced back nicely. Chargers look like a team that is going to have to find some defense. Dolphins Hype Train, maybe I need to jump on board (though they are a Tua injury away from mediocrity). 49'ers are for real. Maybe the Cowboys, but I can never trust them. Chiefs with a big, desperate win.

Nice job by everyone except the refs! I don't think I've ever seen a flag on a kickoff return for a TD get picked up. The refs sucked yesterday but they always suck.

Lamar is 46-17.
He's 7-1 vs the Bengals.
When he is on the field, he gives this team a chance to win and beat anyone.

Only thing I'm really concerned about is the lack of pass rush.

I hate to be negative, but ever since the Two Davis's and Bell and others (Big Ben was another)with the O's. I get real real nervous when someone in Baltimore sports signs a big contract, because only two things happen. - Superman turns into Jimmy Olson, skills tail off or crash. - They have some catastrophic physical demolition, or we find out that the 'skill' was running on meds. This applies to football and baseball btw. I could site, scripture and verse on this, but any Baltimore sports fan knows exactly to whom I refer. So I am glad that Jackson, now has his head is cleared by signing a big contract.....one that guarantees that .... if he is not stupid like buying bit coins......he is set. Will he stay healthy? Will he become a broken toy? Will he have the guts like Johnny Unitas and put himself in ..... regardless of injury.... for the team? Well, I have my doubts...... guess the plane trip last year was too much of a bother. But we shall see.

guess the plane trip last year was too much of a bother. I'm sure I've pointed this out to you before - but team doctors did not clear him for flight due to the swelling.

When Manny Machado once dogged it up the first base line I lost a lot of respect for him. That was the wrong choice and he could have made a different choice. It told me something bad about his character.
When Lamar was told not to travel due to inflammation, that isn't the same at all. That's a valid medical decision regarding an injury he didn't ask for or want. It doesn't comment on his character.

I don't know if you or anybody else played any sort of sport at least the college level, but I did. Football and tennis, varsity. I had broken ribs, both knees blown up (and I am paying for it now). But the team needed me to play so I did. Now looking back, and at my knees and such. Yeah it was stupid I guess. But back then in the 70's you didn't play unless you were dead. Was it a stupid thing? In todays context..... absolutely. But, that was then and this is now. And probably why I don't really care about watching sports such as football be it college or pro because, now it is.... as the song goes 'it's all about me'. I lived in a generation that went; 'there is no me in team'. That is all on me.
