In a battle of the worst offenses, New England prevails giving the Steelers back to back losses to 2 win teams. And surprisingly the game hit the over.

I teased the under down to 23.5. I was surprised there was that much offense.
Steelers season is over. They may not win again.

Although I doubt the Steelers would fire Tomlin after this season, is his seat getting a little warm? Matt Canada was supposed to be the root of all the problems, yet the problems remain and he's gone.
Like Harbaugh, Tomlin's had consistent success but both seem to have plateaued after many years.

Two weeks ago I had them winning 10 games possibly. Yeah, after these horrendous losses, and seeing how the Bengals played last week, I have them losing @indy, @seattle, @baltimore(even if the game is meaningless), and now at home against Cincy. Furthermore, it looks like Tomlin has lost the team. He is squarely on the hot seat.

Harbaugh has had good teams derailed by enormous injuries. Tomlin's teams have been completely mediocre even without the injuries. In fact, 2021, 2022, and 2023, the Ravens have been the top seed in the AFC until Jackson was injured (not this year, knock on wood). He's also had teams in the last five years that have been historically good by the "metrics" (2019, 2023).

Yeah not exactly the same, but both have been long tenured coaches without much postseason success in recent years. Harbaugh's definitely had more talent on the offense and obviously Lamar injuries were a killer. But the past two season when Lamar's been down, there were multiple winnable games that got pissed away due to Harbaugh decisions or letting his bonehead OC have the backup QB throwing in the red zone while the running backs don't get a touch.
The Ravens seriously need to make some noise in the postseason this year with a weaker than expected AFC and Joe Burrow not participating.

He won't get fired this year - but that seat is going to be smoking next season.

He gets some credit, but at the same time I doubt the fans will be very happy with another 9-8 finish despite keeping the non-losing streak going. They haven't had a run game since Leveon Bell and he definitely deserves some blame there especially since their 1st round QB isn't good.

He gets some credit, but at the same time I doubt the fans will be very happy with another 9-8 finish despite keeping the non-losing streak going. I don't see 9 wins for them. They'll be lucky to get 1 more (either Cincy at home, or the Ravens if the Ravens aren't playing for anything). I don't think Tomlin did all that much to get them the 7 wins they have. Maybe a couple of games where they hung in there, but a good number of those games they simply got very lucky. He's also part of the reason they don't have a lot of talent too. I don't think he'll be fired this year, but it wouldn't shock me if he was. Fans have definitely had enough up there in Yinzerland and have been calling for his head non-stop. The boo-birds were worse than I've ever seen in an actual game there. Listening to player comments, seeing the effort of several players, it's pretty clear he's lost the team, and that usually spells doom. Right now Tomlin is Brian Billick in 2007. He's teetering, and if they look this bad the rest of the way, that'll be his losing to a winless Miami team moment.

I think Tomlin deserves some credit for the wins in that they played good defense, didn't make mistakes and capitalized on opponent's mistakes. Really all they can do with a pathetic offense.
In the win against Cleveland, they had two defensive TDs. And the Ravens game, while they needed a Benny Hill music level of Ravens mistakes, they ultimately capitalized.
Obviously that only takes you so far as last night showed when they didn't play great defense and got beat by the Billy Zappe air assault.

Heavy rain with downpours, significant wind and wind gusts - is anyone here attending the game? Rain poncho time. Try to stay as dry as possible.
For the Ravens & Rams, who do you think benefits from this awful weather? Just wondering who has the horses that are better mudders. Sloppy play and low scoring in these conditions I would imagine, though I've been surprised before. I'll take the Ravens 17-7.

He's Andy Reid w the Eagles. Best for him and Steelers for him to move on. Shame as he's a great guy. Think he got complacent w Ben R. Ben could be counted on to make key drives, covered a multitude of sins in offense and Tomlin could concentrate on his strength which is defense.

Great game. Yr Ravens are something! Rams are dangerous, better than their record.

Defense was atrocious, Lamar was Superman! Clutch. Wallace with just an electric game winning walk off PR. Somebody needs to have a talk with Bateman though. He slowed one route for some unknown reason and blew an easy TD. Then on another bomb where it was a little underthrown just waited on the ball and let the defender pick it. That said, huge win!

Bateman is making a good case for playing next year - in one of 31 other cities. Defense fell down a bit, for sure, but Lamar stepped up. Hopefully Hamilton isn't seriously hurt, and "The Room Where It Happens" isn't the operating room...

I attended a Ravens vs. Steelers game at Heinz Field one long weekend. It was snowing. It was freezing. I had hand warmers where they were never meant to go - in my hat, my shoes, my bra. I would do that again before I would sit in the rain. So glad that I turned down my boss' offer of his tickets because I would have had to go.

Went to a really cold, snowy, windy game at Heinz Field years ago. (LAST time I went in that kind of weather!). Had some handwarmers someone gave me, had no experience with them. Put them in my gloves and nothing. Took them out and threw them in my bag. Got home, opened my bag which had turned into an oven--melted my lipstick! What an idiot!!

Glad they survived Harbaugh's boneheaded management of timeouts. Challenging a TD score, which is already subject to a booth review, was a new low for him. Thankfully this team wins despite his awful game management.

The red flag on the Ram's TD was dumber than hell though. Ultimately though, the Ravens found a way in a close game, and like some pundits said, the Ravens just have a lot of playmakers.

As mentioned, this was a huge win. The Ravens have two very difficult road games coming up. They could very well find themselves at 10-5 and fighting out the Browns for the division title. Browns have it much easier, and I could see them getting to 11 or 12 wins possibly. Flacco is playing really well, total renaissance for him. The Ravens would do themselves a HUGE favor by winning next Sunday night in Jax. Won't be easy, the Jags are pretty solid, but a little banged up. I don't know what to say about the Niners other than, I don't like our chances out there Brock Purdy is really making his case to be the next Tom Brady. (I know, too soon, right? But he reminds me a lot of him with his play and being picked late...well...last). Dolphins game might be tough, or not. Can't tell with them. They run the ball well which is a concern because the Ravens have been vulnerable there. Playoffs are all but locked, I think they'll clinch a spot next week probably. The defense had a very bad game. Hopefully it was just an "off" game. Tons of miscommunication in the secondary. Hopefully Hamilton isn't out for any time. He did come back and play for a while after his injury, not sure why they took him out later. He was standing on the sideline, so I guess that's a fairly good sign.

Exciting game and what a finish! Glad you didn't get too soaked. I remember going to a game in November 2019 against the 49ers, when Jackson was making his run for MVP. It was cold and it poured the entire game. Nothing like a good Baltimore 38 degree rain to soak and then chill the bones. I think it took me hours in a hot shower to get rid of the chills! Memo to self - don't consider a career in odds making and point predictions. Chalk up another game where the outcome is decided by the last possession. We have way too many, though this year's team seems responsible for the losses rather than being simply beaten. I remain optimistic, though we have a nice rough stretch ahead. Maybe that will harden them for the playoff run.
