Chargers' Brandon Staley was already a dead man walking, but after last night he might not make it to the end.
Raiders had 0 points against the Vikings on Sunday and 63 against the Chargers last night.

That was easily the worst case I've ever seen of a team that quit on a coach. Wow.

Yea, I've already pencilled in a loss to SF. I just want the Ravens to score more than 13. I have a signed dollar bill bet on it.

The Steelers putridity continues. They won't win another game this season.

The Steelers putridity continues. They won't win another game this season. That seems likely. Even if we are resting...

Flacco did it again. Rough game until 4th qtr, 3 picks including a pick six. Looked like a couple of miscommunications plus a typical what were you thinking Joe throw, but he stayed calm and kept fighting. Just can't root against him even though a Browns loss would have likely sealed the division for the Ravens.

I'm telling you though, this conflict is coming through Baltimore. We are going to host Cleveland in the playoffs. I hope our fans cheer him with a standing O during introductions, and then not let him hear the rest of the game.

Got a feeling you're right about that.
Huge win tonight, game felt closer than the score. Lamar is apparently an alien!

That's the beauty of the Bears, no matter how many interceptions they'll find a way to lose.

Fell asleep at halftime, but woke up towards the end of the 4th qtr for the big stop. Seemed in control so went to bed.
Really getting sick of primetime games. And there's another one Monday when I have to work the next day.

I generally don't like the primetimes games, but the Ravens seem to usually win, so I don't mind too much.
It was kind of a weird game. They seemed in control, but the Jags were moving the ball early, but missing opportunities, thanks to the Ravens D clamping down. Ettiene was having success early but they stopped that pretty quick. Lawrence also had a horrendous turnover at the 20 where he just dropped the ball for no real reason.
The offense was uneven, mostly due to the offensive line having a lot of issues. Jackson was insane in the pocket with how he bought time. He also ran really effectively, kept baiting the defense and gashing them for big gains. Beckham had a big drop that I think cost them points.
The sad thing was Keaton Mitchell badly hyperextending his knee. Probably season ending regardless of whether surgery is needed or not. Melvin Gorden is being brought up to take his place. Shame, he was really becoming a go-to weapon.
Now they have the Niners, but that's now a much less important game had they lost last night. As it stands, they should win the division and home field advantage without issue even with a loss at San Fran.

The Jags have to come away from that game feeling the the same way we did against the Steelers, Colts and Browns. Crucial mistakes and turnovers at the worst time possible. Lawrence still doesn't look healthy...a lot of his passes were way off the mark.
Still. Big win. Niners game this week is pretty much meaningless, which is a good thing because I don't expect to win.
Losing Mitchell for what looks like the rest of the season was a gut punch. That kid is the real deal.

I would expect them to handle the Dolphins at home and clinch the division that day. Dolphins still haven't beaten a team with a winning record. That game will be the difference between a bye or not I think, don't see the Chiefs losing another game despite them not putting the lowly Pats away convincingly. Looks like the final game will have some meaning regardless, so I'm happy about that one

Granted that was before we got Smith on defense.

How do you guys feel about getting the bye? I have mixed feelings. While I'd certainly prefer it for the sole reason of not facing KC in KC (and really getting sick of KC ALWAYS having home games in the playoffs), I worry about the extra week off and momentum (lingering memories of the O's as well as the 2019 Ravens).
The Chiefs don't worry me as much as before. They have a lot of issues on offense. Mainly I just want Mahomes to have to play a road playoff game for once!
Everyone is worried about the Bills suddenly.
The Dolphins I just don't know. They do have some weapon that could present problems. We'll find out soon enough if they are for real or not.
Jags/Colts/Texans - can't see any of them being much trouble in the playoffs. Don't think the Bengals make it.
That leaves the Browns. I give Flacco a lot of credit, but I don't think that he would fare well against his former team. Their O-line is wounded badly, and he's a 39 year old tree going against a team with 50 sacks already.

If you're concerned about the long layoff, play the starters in Week 18. At least for a half. That game could end up meaningful anyway. In 2019 they didn't play Lamar and many starters in the final game so it was essentially 3 weeks off without a game.

I'm old enough to remember when Matt Canada was the cause of all the problems on offense.

Keaton Mitchell, ACL tear, no other damage. Otherwise sounds like he will come back at some point next season.

Rod Woodson described the injury and repair as uncomplicated. He's had five knee surgeries, so I guess he has a good layman's perspective? He believes Mitchell could return in around nine months.

Was the running backs room built on top of a burial ground or something?
