Collinsworth called him an alien. He's currently second in the MVP race behind Purdy, and that could change depending on Monday's outcome. www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39141768/ravens-lamar-jackson-mvp-candidate-playoffsWhat Lamar is doing this year is incredible. Those who questioned his salary probably shouldn't. Apparently, he has put more work in than ever, more vocal than ever, more of a leader than ever. His numbers aren't eye popping, or as good as 2019's MVP season, but they don't tell the whole story. What tells the story is plays like that incredible escape and heave to Likely that set up the Ravens for the pivotal score in a huge game. What he is doing in the pocket this year, I don't think I have ever seen in all of my years of watching football. He doesn't have the best pass blocking line, that is for sure. The way he moves around, extends plays, and hits big passes and runs, is mind blowing. He was incredible Sunday night. Collinsworth is right.

I thought they coated him with oil or something because he kept slipping out of everyone's grip. What was more impressive was his opening drive with his helmet not working correctly. All those plays were his. The 49ers aren't going to be easy though..

He's definitely progressing as a passer. He is noticeably missing that speed burst he had in 2019 and 2020, but still managing to chew up chunks of yardage when he runs. Definitely an MVP candidate although I do believe Purdy and Dak have put up better stats and will win that award.

He is noticeably missing that speed burst he had in 2019 and 2020 He's so much bigger now. His neck is almost a cartoon thing.
