Sam LaPorta breaks record for receptions by a rookie TE that had stood since 1981... and then blows out his knee. When they transport you from the blue tent to the locker room on the electric cart, they think it's bad.

Jaguars spotted... getting dejectedly on the plane back to Florida. Eliminated with loss to Titans at Nissan Stadium. And who knew crappy ramen made stadium naming money? Not I.

Jags lost 5 of 6 and gifted the Steelers a playoff berth.

Jags lost 5 of 6 and gifted the Steelers a playoff berth. I predict that as a low Wattage team they will not last long.

This all but ensures the Ravens play the Browns in divisional round.

This all but ensures the Ravens play the Browns in divisional round. Nothing is a guarantee. Cleveland beat the David Mills/Case Keenum version of the Texans a couple weeks ago, not the one with CJ Stroud.

I really hate that the Steelers beat the Ravens back-ups and made it in. Not because they have a snowballs chance in hell of going anywhere, but because the toothless Yinzers out there are pounding their chest acting like they actually did something on Saturday. "7 out of 8, 7 out of 8, we own you guys!". No, you didn't do "anything". You barely squeaked by a Ravens team that was resting most of their starters and was playing like it was a pro-bowl game. Joke of a fanbase anymore.
And that being said, I'm really pretty irritated by the coaching staff in the second half. I get trying not to get guys hurt, and what ever, but c'mon, did you have to basically throw in the towel? Fans deserved a little better.

Might be a little closer than the last game for sure, but I still don't see them beating the Browns. Browns are probably the second best team in the AFC.

Sadly the Ravens have been mailing it in against the Steelers for years now. I don't know why Harbaugh and the players get scared into making mistakes every game against them, but they do.
Steelers got double lucky with Jaguars finishing the season with a nosedive.

Black Monday! Rivera out in Washington, Smith out in Atlanta. Commanders requested permission to interview Ravens assistant Anthony Weaver

Sadly the Ravens have been mailing it in against the Steelers for years now. Well, by mailing it in, I meant the effort level was rather, uh, low for some of the players, other than maybe Trent Simpson. Lot of weak arm tackling, lack of hustle, etc. The record in recent years vs the Steelers is a bit misleading. Quite a few of the games the Ravens were either shorthanded because of injury or because they were resting people. But hey, Pittsburgh is now the standard of the standard of mediocrity, so I get that they have to hang their hats on something

Wink out in New York. Will he head one state south? Eagles are looking for someone.

Trenton Simpson had a great game. He looks like he could be the replacement for when Queen likely leaves this offseason.

Interesting situation at the end of the Saints/Falcons game. Saints were up by 24 points and had the ball at the goal line with the 4th quarter all by over. Dennis Allen calls the victory formation for the kneel down to end the game. Saints players line up in the victory formation, but instead of a kneel down, Jameis Winston (backup QB) hands it off to Jamaal Williams (backup RB) who scores a touchdown against a defense expecting the kneel. Falcons coach was obviously pretty upset and Dennis Allen said the players ignored his call which they confirmed they did. Pretty bush league.
On first take, Stephen A and Shannon Sharpe were pretty fired up about it saying Winston should be instantly released and Dennis Allen should be fired because the team clearly doesn't respect him.

Little shocking - Vrabel fired today.
Not shocking - TJ Watt ruled out.

Kind of surprised about Vrabel. Maybe he goes to NE when Belichick and Kraft agree to part ways.

BB to Washington is a very Snyder-like move. For their sake they better hope Harris is smarter.
