No, I think my wife would prefer a new car if we were going to spend that kind of money on two tickets.

If I could afford that kind of car, I probably couldn't afford all the tickets I'd accumulate with it...

The money spent on those tickets makes wealthy men wealthier. What a bad idea!

I went to super bowl 47 and tickets weren’t as crazy as they are now. So once is enough for me.

"Get ready for this: In 2023, players on the winning team receive $157,000, according to NBC Sports! This is more than last year, which saw each member of the winning team received $150,000, according to the NFL's Collective Bargaining Agreement. This cash bonus was up $20,000 from 2020, when the winners of the Super Bowl each took home $130,000."

Well. That was...awesome! Little bit of anxiety and rust in the first half, but they simply obliterated them in the second. This is a juggernaut.

They are worth far more than most of their players will be.

Haha, the NFL set up blocks of hotel rooms for the media at the Luxor and Excalibur. Last time I set foot in either was ~20 years ago, but the Luxor seemed ok at the time. Excalibur was a dump back then and I'm sure it hasn't gotten better.

Luxor was revamped around 2010 I think and it's actually pretty nice considering it's one of the cheaper places to stay. Excalibur is absolutely still a dump.

Yes, it is a dump but the company that bought our company in 1997 flew everyone out there for a corporate meeting and included us even though it was a week before we closed on the deal. So, I felt I could lose money and it didn't matter because I was about to get a chunk of change. I found out it is harder to lose if you don't care. That was the zenith of my career. It was all downhill from there... Sadly, I peaked at 34.

LOL.
I actually have some great memories of Excalibur, though I never stayed there. Good times at Dick's Last Resort, and the medieval dinner watching midgets fight with swords, haha.

I've been to LV once. Wasn't impressed. I actually prefer AC.
But I'm not a big gambler to begin with. Much prefer sitting on the beach and spending money on cold beer.

Man, LV is my favorite place in the world to visit Not much of a gambler, but I just love the vibes, history, and aura of it all. I've lost count as to how many times I actually have gone. Used to go every year for work for about 10 years or so. Went 2 years ago to take my wife to see the Scorpions which are one of her favorites. Loved AC too before it lost its way.

Neither Vegas nor Atlantic City holds much appeal for me, but, then, I have always subscribed to the maxim, "Gambling is the fee you pay for being poor at math."

Vegas has history? Sure. Back to Bugsy Siegel, the Mafioso who was instrumental in building it up!

Love Vegas even though I rarely gamble. Just like walking around the strip and the giant casinos.

I was not one of them. Just couldn't summon the enthusiasm to plant myself for several hours. But I did have it on the radio in the background whilst doing other things. And, believe you me, Westwood One gets some real bottom feeding sponsors, too. Generic anti-impotence pills of questionable pedigree were among the best of them.

I didn't want to watch, but my wife insisted. Didn't want to damper her growing enthusiasm for sports.

I obviously watched, but went to bed before the end of the 3rd after KC scored.
