Before the Miami game I would have given it to McCaffrey. But after that destruction Lamar secured it. Allen probably would have won if he didn't throw so many interceptions during the Bills struggling period.
Happy for Joe, especially because he showed how stupid the Browns are in terms of the Watson deal.

Had to be a local voter for Allen. People on ESPN blasting about Damar Hamlin not getting the award over Flacco. Hamlin was a healthy scratch most of the year. He didn't get much playing time until late season due to injuries on the defense.

Yeah, Hamlin should not have even been in the running. Like Ivan said, good story, but they guy was barely on the field. Flacco definitely deserved it. I thought Mayfield was another who it could have gone to as well.
There's a great photo going around showing Flacco and Lamar hugging in a "tender" moment.

I would have also supported Mayfield because it also makes the Browns look bad.

Since he played the whole year he likely deserved it but I'm happy for Joe.

Now, Lamar has to take the next step by proving he can succeed in the postseason. All the way to the bowl. His record is comparable to that held by Peyton Manning at the same point in his career. Manning eventually got there (his second ring was mostly earned by that Denver defense, IMO).

I would have also supported Mayfield because it also makes the Browns look bad. Yeah I think Mayfield should have won but can't complain about Flacco. Lamar getting another MVP is cool and all but they seem hollow without a SB ring.
