It's this Sunday. I know ya'll are excited. I expect Roma to win but I felt like A Star is Born was the best movie so far. I wouldn't be surprised to see Black Panther steal it. Still haven't seen Vice, Green Book or The Favourite.

Shocked that "Night At The Garden" didn't win best documentary with this crowd! LOL. It was a short documentary. I guess Part II will come out after Trump holds a rally at MSG.

I'm not familiar with many of the movies or the actors. I'm so out of touch.
I did hear on the radio this morning that a documentary called Period. End of Sentence, about the menstrual cycle, won an Oscar. That has to be interesting.

I didn't watch but read the results in the news this morning. To me it's just Hollywood patting themselves on the back. Only 3 flicks I saw out of the whole listing of them. "Bohemian Rhapsody", well I was never into Queen, my music was a little before theirs. Harder Rock, Psych Rock, Hendrix, Cream, Doors, Iron Butterfly etc. But everyone was bugging me for it so I D/L'd it and gave it a look. It was OK but I remembered Rami from the HBO Miniseries "The Pacific" where he played a character "Snafu". Kinda creepy, the Psycho in the squad who cut the Gold Teeth out of the dead Japs. Vice I thought was pretty interesting but kinda Dull. Didn't really care one way or the other about Cheney but I really liked "W" as our Prez so I watched it. Just not a big deal to me. And "First Man" really didn't do anything for me. I've read "The Right Stuff" and "Yeager" and "Carrying the Fire" by Mike Collins and also watched almost Every film made on Spaceflight. Better to watch the HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon". By all accounts Neil was very concentrated on the Mission. He was an Engineer, Test Pilot and just involved in Flight down to his toes. Yeah he remained very Private but Not as closed down as he was shown I think. They portrayed him as if he was just made of Stone and I don't think that's true at all. Just watch some Interviews with him on YouTube. The SFX in the movie were OK but I didn't think all That great. I was somewhat disappointed with it. Most of the other flicks I never heard of.

Viewership was up 12% from last year. I really doubt that is true. I didn't even know the oscars were on until yesterday. Entertainment industry really sucks now. Everything has been done and is boring.

Viewership was up 12% from last year. WHIPPEEE! Climate change effects TV viewers! Nasty outside up north. That is an increase of approximately 12% in total viewers and 13% in the key demo. And while that is up from last year’s historic low, this year was the second smallest audience ever for an Academy Awards telecast.
