A Kate Beckinsale show on Amazon Prime. What is there to say other than the best thing about the show is that it has Kate Beckinsale in it. OTOH, the worst thing about the show is that it has Kate Beckinsale in it. Georgia (Beckinsale) thinks her husband died in a plane crash in the Congo only to see some blurry footage of a guy during a riot in the Congo who looks a lot like the dead husband. Intrigue ensues. There are all sorts of characters who have ulterior motives and this moves the show right along. It all leads up to letting the cat out of the bag about the allegedly dead husband and instead of it being a cat you get big stinking pile of douchebaggery. The plot just took a dump on the entire show. I'm sitting there thinking, "This is what it is about?" It is that bad. I've got one more episode left to this show but once that seventh one craps out I'm not so sure I want to give this another hour of my time. This show started out well enough but then just train-wrecked itself with a horrifically bad plot turn.
If you want to watch Kate Beckinsale then go right ahead and watch this. Anything else and you're going to eventually be disappointed.

I love me some Kate B. but she's in some crap. Can't think of a good movie she's been in.
Plus, with this, I thought the optics (aside from Kate) looked poor: a frantic white woman causes havoc in the Congo to find out what happened to her husband. Pass.

That last episode didn't do it any favors. It wrapped up the unresolved plot points and some bizarre metaphor about a lost dog.
I will add that Babs Olusanmokun was a bright spot in this show. He plays a smallish role as a general who has all the ghosts of the people he killed living in his house. It makes for some dark but interesting scenes and he nailed it.
