Koopers Tavern in Fells.
Never been.
Any other good local burger joints?

I've never eaten at the Fells Point location but got burgers from their food truck many times and ate at their Kooper's north location once. Food Truck: Thumbs Up. Kooper's north was good but I think the food truck was actually a little better.

Funny, I've never equated burgers with restaurants.

Funny, I've never equated burgers with restaurants. Too bad but then again you probably never have had buffalo burgers, lobster rolls or Philly Cheesesteaks. All enjoyed in restaurants that serve a myriad of food that would satisfy the comfort food seeker or the snob.

There are 'restaurants' and then there are restaurants ...one doesn't need to be a snob to know the difference.

Some very nice restaurants sell high end burgers. Kooper's will never be mistaken for "fine dining" but it's a restaurant/bar and the food is decent. I guess that it's just another of those Brit/American 'things'. I have nothing against burgers (good ones that is) but I wouldn't go into the Savoy Grill or a 4 Michelin star restaurant to order one.

That's not to say that just down the street a Red White and Blue 12 dollar burger isn't just as satisfying as Dobbins 50 dollar Filet Mignon dinner. I like them both, then again if it's red meat or maybe shellfish I'm in.

I'm not much on going out somewhere and paying $12 for a hamburger when I can make it so much better at home. Same thing with crab cakes.

There's a Five Guys almost ready to Open in Dundalk on Merritt Blvd!

Shake Shack has a pretty good burger. It's small but tasty. Five Guys is always solid too.
My go to is a dive bar in Frederick called Wags. Awesome burgers and OC style fries with salt and vinegar.
Now I want one.

Aldi's Frozen Aberdeen Angus quarter pounders (4 for £1.99) are pretty decent, as burgers go.

Had a really good burger at Bubbas 33 in Glen Burnie a few weeks back! Not the best I have ever had but pretty darn good!

Fuddruckers used to have excellent burgers, and some nice microbrews. Plus you could construct a serious side salad on your take-out tray.
Five Guys fries were definitely enough for 5 guys.
