This intense series has the potential to rival The Wire as a tv crime classic.
Set in Los Angeles, it explores the advent of crack cocaine, and the attendant violence, corruption, ruthlessness, and social imbalance is revealed.
Realistic story lines...

I haven't started on this season yet, but previous two were good.

I agree with Elflippo, a show worth watching.
And I really want Franklin to emerge sadder, wiser, and only partially scathed. (Yeah, that's not a word without the "un".) The latest episode says that's prob'ly not gonna happen, but I'm still rooting for him.

The latest episode says that's prob'ly not gonna happen, but I'm still rooting for him. I had similar thoughts about Franklin, especially when he told his mother that his female neighbor was now a crackhead. The look on his mother's face was like that of a deer in the headlights. Also I thought that the girl's father - a police officer - was so discouraged that the department didn't back him when he was set up...I momentarily thought that he might turn into a gang member. But then the plot got really twisted. This recent episode was deep enough, and startling enough to be a season finale.

This recent episode was deep enough, and startling enough to be a season finale. This week's episode had me staring at the screen for almost a full minute after the show ended. Then I replayed the last 5 minutes just to wrap my head around what happened. Wow! Far out, man!

That was quite a twist. It does make one wait for the next episode.
