Has anyone tried an Impossible Burger or the like?
I have and I couldn’t tell the difference on a burger.
I’ve been using veggie sausage for breakfast bowls and burritos.
I’m still a carnivore but I’ve realized the amount of meat I eat is unnecessary and want to cut back.

I have fooled (pleasantly) quite a few people with a chilli con carne, substituting half of the mince (ground beef) with soya mince. For myself, I often use 100% soya mince, the taste and texture is almost identical, and it is a damn sight healthier for you, the only downside is that it can get a little windy later on ...

Impossible Whopper was good, should have got cheese on it though.

I think I'll stick to beef when I have a burger.

I think I'll stick to beef when I have a burger. That’s the thing, the impossible burger tastes like beef. In a blind taste test I bet you couldn’t tell which is which.

I like Gardein burgers and meatballs. For a quickie, I nuke them with 1/2 teaspoon of water or soy sauce to keep them from drying out. I've dealt with this website from time to time: www.veganessentials.com/

I tried the Impossible yesterday. I asked for mustard instead of mayo. They gave my brother mustard squeeze packets. So I just ate it with the fixings & ketchup.
It wasn't bad at all. A better texture than Gardein's vegan burgers - a softer texture without being mushy.
Plenty of lettuce & onions, but 2 tiny pickle coins, and 2 modest slivers of tomato.
Will try again.

Fortunately, there are no Burger Kings in my area. I fixed that for you. Was wondering where to get an Impossible Burger until you cleared that up...

Well BooHoo for him. Lots of luck with it and I hope your atty sucks you for all you're worth. Talk about frivolous lawsuits.
Two weeks ago on our house hunting trip in Tennessee my wife had a Zaxby's attack, she loves the place. Me I was happy with Bojangles, I love their dirty rice. Chicken is chicken unless it's KFC which has been known to make me expurgate because of the grease.

...but far less cholesterol... Low fat and low sugar is more important the low cholesterol. The human body can, and will, make as much cholesterol as it feels it needs (and you need some of it). It uses proteins, fats and sugars to do this, chiefly. About 20% of the cholesterol in your blood comes from food, so lowering your intake can help, especially if you eat a lot of it. But it isn't the whole story. For some people, their only good option is a statin, but those carry risks (like all meds do).

Burger King puts so much stuff, i.e, tomato, lettuce, pickles, onions, sauce on their Whopper that they could probably make their burgers out of sawdust and people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Haven't had a BK Impossible Whopper yet. Mine was at a burger food truck.

I tried a BK Impossible Whopper yesterday. I was not impressed. I like my burgers juicy and it wasn't. To me, it was very dry. I think I'll stick with the meat burger.

When my vegan daughter ordered the 2 Impossible Burgers at BK, she requested a non-broiled method and they didn't have a problem fixing them for her. The reason that she does go to BK is because they will fix cook it for you the way you want but I guess you have to request it.

I had an impossible Whopper and it was...a Whopper...AKA a disappointing fast food burger.
I had an IB at a gourmet food truck and it was much better so I guess it depends where you get it.
Anyway, I bought some Bubba burgers while loading up for quarantine and was reminded how good those things are.

Just had Impossible breakfast sausage for the first time, The loose kind you form into a patty. I was making a tomato and broccoli omelette and saw that my wife had picked some up and thought, “why not have a meatless breakfast?” It was delicious. By far the best plant based sausage I’ve had. Spicy, too. It would work great in tacos.

I was eating Jimmie Dean's breakfast sausage sandwiches, and apparently ate the whole box before I realized that they were plant based versions, lol. I honestly couldn't tell the difference.
Back in the day I used to make breakfast sandwiches using Morningstar sausage patties, they weren't perfect but I enjoyed them.
