(Just because she's a racist doesn't mean she can't cook...) Use the short ribs. And Sprightly, the okra can be left out. Really yummy! Take a while but easy to throw together and just gets better as leftovers. New sbj: anyone have any good fish recipes? We don't eat enough fish--lots of tuna and shellfish, but need some good recipes for white fish--cod etc. Thx.

I put it on salmon, cod, mahi mahi, etc and just bake in the toaster oven. Very good seasoning.

My go to recipe for a fish dish is a good old Fish Pie (think Shepherd's pie but with fish). I have cooked this for dinner parties as well as just for supper dish. If you put it into 6 ramekins, it makes a superb starter course. You may not have fish pie mix in your supermarkets but all that it is is say, Cod, Smoked Haddock (yellow), Salmon or Prawns (shrimp) in about 1 inch diced pieces. I keep all of these fish in my freezer and just take out what I need, when I need it. I Kilogram = 2.1/4 lbs 400 grams = 14 oz (use a pound) 400 ml = 3/4 pint 25 grams = 1 ounce (Sorry, I don't do cups) I will try to convert or translate any other info, if required. It's a great dish and really worth giving a go.
