I like the idea, but there's too much puff pastry involved IMO. I'd use perhaps pita bread.
I'm definitely in with the goat cheese, although I've never combined it with asparagus. Spinach is a good suggestions for an alternative...

Spinach is a good suggestions for an alternative... I really encourage you to try the puff pastry version. Nice contrast to the creaminess of the cheese. Think I might try w artichoke hearts.

I could go the puff pastry way, with the entire recipe intact, but I would have the shave the wasted crust of the pastry off entirely. Just too much bread...

I tend to use filo with sweet recipes, puff with savory. We're all creatures of habit, especially with cooking.
