I watched this Friday night. Had been wanting to see it for a while, especially during the unrest last year, but never checked it out.
It's an amazing movie. Maybe Spike Lee's best, although I did really love Malcolm X.
Such a relevant movie even though it's 32 years old.
It made me uncomfortable in so many different ways, but in a good way. Movies rarely, if ever, do that for me anymore.
Highly recommended...it's streaming for free if you have Amazon Prime.

Great movie. Arguably among the best movies ever made.
I think it’s Spike’s best although ‘Malcolm X’ isn’t far behind.

Great movie. Arguably among the best movies ever made. I think it’s Spike’s best although ‘Malcolm X’ isn’t far behind. My friends in Bed-Stuy live a few blocks from where this was filmed. Next time I'm there I'll check it out. The "Do or Die" mural featured in the film is still there.
