Another awesome win for the sweep. Alberto Suarez pitches 5.2 IP of shutout baseball and Cedric wins it with a 2-run bomb in the bottom of the 9th!

Royals have gone 10-3 since last playing the O’s. 6 of those wins are against the White Sox though.

Royals are a tough team. Glad today is our last against them.

That was an unexpected walk through the park in Kansas yesterday.
Other than sweeping the Marlins, the Angels have been pretty terrible. Should be a winnable series.

Royals are surprisingly tough this year. Great game by Irvin.
Sounds like Means and Bradish are progressing well, so that's great news.

Means? Did he make another rehab start because the last one I heard about he didn't make it out of the first inning.

Oof, yeah, Means last start on the 17th he went 1/3 of an inning, gave up 5 runs on 1 walk and 5 hits including 2 home runs.

Means? Did he make another rehab start because the last one I heard about he didn't make it out of the first inning. Oh, not sure what they were talking about then, I guess Friday I thought they said he was doing well? Maybe just that he's throwing without pain, but yeah, that's definitely not "good" pitching! Or maybe they were just talking about Bradish, not sure now.

I suspect Means has not come back from his UCL rebuild successfully, and will be forced to retire.

I suspect Means has not come back from his UCL rebuild successfully, and will be forced to retire. Easy there negative vibes! LOL no kidding! From what I read, his velocity is there, and no setbacks, so it's just a matter of getting his control where it needs to be.

He didn't have much velocity to begin with. If he doesn't gain back his control, or loses even 10 percent of it, he won't be successful in the majors. Hell, he may never mack it back out of the minors.

O's in first place for now For a while if the Yanks' can't figure out how to hit again. Judge has been slumping and the rest of the lineup cooled off.

We should be hearing about Judge's next visit to the IL any day now. He has a vacation home there and it's pretty nice! But the rest of the lineup will recover. Players on the same team seem to slumpitis from each other pretty regularly.

If Cowser is going to hit lefties like this, Hays might want to start looking for another job.

Can’t believe Trout took two strikes in a row. Totally thought the O’s were going to blow it.

The moronic ump threw him out of the game for something a fan yelled. Hopefully MLB comes down hard on that one, but I doubt it.

Angel Hernandez is still calling balls and strikes so the consequences for screwing up can’t be too serious.

How about Suarez? Two starts, 5.2 IP each time, 0 ER allowed.
Not saying he's going to be anything long term but it's refreshing to have him step up during a time when our rotation was Burnes, GRod and pray for rain.
That said, Irvin and Kremer pitched well their last outing.

Aiken is dreadful, again. Bauman is inconsistent. Tate is just DONE. Please never put Tate on the mound again, please and thank you. I do think Hays is done. Cowser has earned the spot, and Kerstad will be called up. Going to be very interesting to see if the O's make some trades too.

Biggest factor will be for starters to go deep into games so we rely on them less.
