I'll start: the equipment trucks are on the way to Florida (per Kubato's tweet, reported to me because I don't have an "X" account and now that Musk has it, don't want one).

Woo boy!
Word is that Holiday is likely starting the season on the OD roster.
Really this team that won 101 games will only be better simply because they are so young and inexperienced, another year under their belts really helps. Just need to try and get another SP, and if it's someone really good, like Cease, that will push some guys into the BP and make that stronger too.

Great trade. Finally got a real legit ace SP. It would be even better if they can lock him up long term. He's a FA after this year.

This makes the O's rotation pretty strong. Would assume this also puts Wells in the BP, which will offset losing Hall. Think they need to add some more BP arms though, and that's really all they need to do.

Burnes has said he wants to test free agency. Of course, that was as a Brewer. We will see what Elias can do. Hopefully he is effective and the team can sign him longer term. But I disfavor ten year deals; they're almost always much friendlier to the player, reducing the team's ability to get and keep other talent. Particularly a smaller market team.

With MASN, are we really a smaller market team or is that propaganda meant to allow the owners to keep most of the profit while hoarding the cost?

It's smaller when compared to some of the big markets especially since the Nats arrived, but it's not Tampa Bay or Kansas City. 14 straight losing seasons is what "shrank" the market.

Peter used to call us a small market when he didn't want to spend on expensive talent. Are we really? I don't know. Go south of Washington and there sure isn't much until you reach Georgia. (I have long wondered if Richmond could support a team.)

They need to proceed as if Bradish and/or Means will not be available this year. Bradish seems like he could need TJ. Go sign another SP.

Blake Snell is still available. It doesn't look like anyone will pay him the money he wants. Maybe he'll take a one year deal somewhere.

They are watching Henderson, as well. I did not hear why. Strained oblique. Probably from humping deer out of the woods. The guy hunted like every day during the off-season.

Bradish has a UCL sprain that dates back to January. Get him on the table, get the rebuild done and start the eighteen month (per Means) rehab. Means had a "setback".

They are saying Bradish is heading in the "right direction" whatever that means. Mean's setback is from last September actually. I think he'll be ok, but he got a late start on getting his arm back into shape. Real question is, can the guy stay healthy at all?

Yeah they both seem to be positive about pitching this year. We’ll see. I’m not exactly hopeful they’ll hold up.

I hope Bradish is heading in the right direction, but I'll bet 90% of these UCL cases end up getting the UCL rebuild (TJ) surgery. They should likely move on from Means when his contract is up.

Latest is Bradish will throw from 90' soon, so maybe he is recovering without surgery. Hopefully.
Burnes will start the Orioles' Grapefruit opener tomorrow. You can hear it on 98Rock (97.9FM). Sunday's game as well.
