I like Hogan, but definitely can't support the national Republican/MAGA Trash agenda.

I like Hogan as well and am fairly certain he will not be one of Trump's sycophants. Indeed, he has already endorsed Nikki Haley. At least now Trone is going to have work for it.

Moved from Nationals.
Trying to combine with the other thread, same topic.

He has only had condemnation for Trump. But there will be those who will hold him responsible for Trump. But he will never win so I don't why anyone is in an uproar about his run.

I wouldn't expect him to turn into Ted Cruz once elected, but is he going to vote against Trump's agenda every time considering Trump's control of the party? Plus there's the shenanigans Republicans like to play with SC nominees.

But he will never win so I don't why anyone is in an uproar about his run. Really? He was pretty popular as governor, and David Trone doesn't seem very likeable.

Hogan should take a step down and come run Baltimore County when Johnny O's term is up. Beers are on me.

He's a liberal and a seemingly decent man. That's all some haters need.

I like Hogan, but definitely can't support the national Republican/MAGA Trash agenda. Hogan has been very critical of Trump so I don't think he can be accused of being a member of the MAGA crowd.

And what are the shenanigans Republicans like to play with SC nominees? Seems to me they do what the (D)s do, nominate and vote onto the court those people they think will interpret the Constitution the way they do.

Now I am really conflicted. I like Hogan but I'm liking Trone's "take no corporate money" stance. Plus Trone gave us Total Wine, which is like an adult candy store.

I wish I could vote for him, but a Republican controlled Senate with the possibility of Trump's reelection makes that a bad idea.

Look you guys ..... I read through your very valid statements both postive and negative.
Bottom line, to me at least. Is that any vote that may improve the ratio/margins in Congress in either house for the GQP is flat out wrong.
Yes, in the real world, which is long ago and far away, there is no doubt that I would vote for Hogan. And yeah I voted for Hogan twice.
Aside: (smokey1 and crew..... I guess that blows your summation that I am a screaming lefty out of the water 😆)
But to give even the slightest percentage of influence to THIS GQP at the federal level.

Trone can afford a "take no corporate money" stance because, well, the adult candy store is undoubtedly very profitable. Hogan didn't impress me as a sellout during his governorship. While I recognize the larger opportunities as a Senator, I'm inclined to trust his past performance. Now, that siad, I want to read his planned policies before I go get a bumper sticker.

He flooded TV with ads starting last fall. Now everyone knows who he is. Hogan was around for 8 yrs, so everyone knows who he is. Could be interesting unless people vote like EY and can't have an R in office.
