"Scenario three: Biden is persuaded to release his delegates at the convention, allowing them to pick whichever candidate they like.
This is what Republicans are predicting. Lennox, the GOP strategist, regards it as “entirely plausible [that] somebody not named Joe Biden emerges as the Democratic nominee, whether that’s JB Pritzker, the governor of Illinois, who’s a billionaire and could self-fund a campaign overnight… or [California governor] Gavin Newsom, or the governor of Maryland [Wes Moore] who many believe is the next Obama.”
Your thoughts?

Man, you're going all in on this "Biden won't be the nominee" theory, huh?
MD usually doesn't generate politicians on a national level. Otherwise Hogan would be the leading Republican candidate right now based on his popularity while he was governor.
O'Malley totally flamed out in his presidential run.
Who knows about Moore. He just started as governor so he has a way to go before we start discussing his presidential pedigree.

Was Agnew the only politician from Maryland to make it to the national scene?

Was Agnew the only politician from Maryland to make it to the national scene? Ahhh, I think you better refine that question. Like 'was Agnew the last Republican from MD to make the national scene.'

Ok I think I am seeing the disconnect. By National politics ..... you really mean being somehow in or near the Oval office? Cause we have congressmen from MD.

Neither I or the person who wrote the article said anything about Moore being the (D) nominee in 2024 or any other time.
Reading between the lines is not a bad thing it's just the some times there's nothing there.

Was Agnew the only politician from Maryland to make it to the national scene? Albert Cabell Ritchie was an American lawyer and politician. A Democrat, he was the 49th governor of Maryland from 1920 to 1935. Ritchie was a conservative who campaigned for, but did not win, the presidential nomination in both 1924 and 1932.

Wes Moore, like Obama, is a good looking and articulate Black politician who is close to Oprah. They also have similar politics so I understand why some compare the two.
While I think Moore does have presidential aspirations, I don’t see him running for POTUS this year even in the event that the Dems need to replace Biden…

The Rt 301 bridge over the Potomac to Virginia is named after former Gov Harry W Nice. When we drive over it to Virginia I always say, its a nice bridge .......

State senator for 7 years, US Senator for 3. 10 years of governing experience. Wes Moore has been governor for a little over a year. But I hope he does become President one day if only to make you shatter your teeth.

Duh! Are you speaking for pickle now? If so then at least get the question right. I was asking why he thinks I would be "pissed" if Moore were to become POTUS. I am sure pickle understood what I was asking so maybe you should stick to speaking for just yourself.

Why do you think that would that "shatter my teeth"? Black Democrat. Why do you think his race would have anything to do with it? I oppose most dem policies like bans on rifles and I would oppose him on issues like that but his race has no bearing on whether I would support him or not. You are still trying to put me in that little box.
