Why do you think his race would have anything to do with it? I oppose most dem policies like bans on rifles and I would oppose him on issues like that but his race has no bearing on whether I would support him or not. You are still trying to put me in that little box. Just seeing how 8 years of Obama made Republicans lose their damn mind, I can only imagine what 8 years of Wes Moore would do you ya'll. It was Obama's policies not his skin color that was the problem. He was very divisive. I don't know much about Moore other than he is the typical Democrat. Thankfully I retired from state service before he took office.

Let's see where those hundreds of millions go now are the sell. Does Nashville have any state owned parking lots near the Titans' stadium? Isn't the new stadium there going in next door ..?? If anything Nashville should reach out to the A's with their moving in flux.

I think there was a very measurable backlash to Obama among the right. Maybe not primarily because of his skin color, but I think you're naive to say that didn't play a part in it. Birtherism, calling him a Muslim, and "he's going to give Blacks free cell phones" didn't come from his policies.

For some it was Obama's policies, specifically his radical idea that insurance companies needed to be reined in and payment for healthcare is broken.
For others, including Trump and most of those who still support him, it was Obama's race - there's no disguising what they are.

Jesus, do you have to be hand held on everything? God! As in that.... you are so pxssed off that you clench your teeth so hard that they shatter. Duh! Are you speaking for pickle now? If so then at least get the question right. I was asking why he thinks I would be "pissed" if Moore were to become POTUS. I am sure pickle understood what I was asking so maybe you should stick to speaking for just yourself. This is a public forum. Which allows PUBLIC comments to posts. Don't like that format..... move on.

In a verbal conversation that is outright rude, on a talk board it is an annoyance.

All you've got is a bunch of logical fallacies; ad hominem, red herring, straw man, slothful induction fallacy and the tu quoque fallacy. Come back when you got some facts specifically related to Smokey1. I'm sure he's not interested in your specials pleadings.

In a verbal conversation that is outright rude, on a talk board it is an annoyance. Sorry. Wrong answer. Scenario: If I am a BBQ, and three of us (or more) are discussing something, YOU don't have the privilege of deciding whom you wish to or continue to finish the discussion with. At least that is the BBQ rules I am familiar with. Or? In your BBQ world, one is allowed to tell an individual whom is part of a group discussion to bugger off? Now, if you want to make outlandish statements in response to another poster (this case pickle) then do a PM and carry that debate via PM. I am fine with that. This isn't Las Vegas dude. Got it?

Actually not. Vegas rejected them. I did not know that. Why did Vegas reject them? Think it came down to funding a new stadium. Mayor told the team, "you should stay in Oakland".

LOL There was a racial component to the Obama backlash. I can’t say for certain if Smokey’s dislike of Obama was racial. He says it wasn’t so I’ll take him at his word. Birtherism, Obama is Muslim, etc were based on racial beliefs.

Nope, but let's use your example to show how wrong you are. In your BBQ scenario one person makes a comment about another person. The person who the comment was about questions the person making the comment as to what he meant by that comment. Then a third person misunderstands what the question was and jumps in says he meant such and such. That makes the third person is a busy body jerk who puts his mouth where it doesn't belong.
