Forgot all about that little escapade. I must be getting old. And for someone who walked away from his post in a combat zone. SMH. I do believe the US should have tried to retrieve him and I do believe he should have served some jail time but I don't agree with the decision to trade 5 Taliban prisoners to get him back. That is a mark on Obama's legacy for sure. However, if this occurred under Trump's watch, he would have allowed Bergdahl to be tortured and killed, since Trump has said as much in the past and repeatedly called for Bergdahl's death. Trump also lied about US soldiers being killed searching for Bergdahl. So... I believe he should have spent the rest of his life in prison. The conjecture about what would have happened is just that, empty conjecture. We know what did happen; a President traded five Taliban killers for this deserter.

The point is that the GAO accused the president of breaking the law. It has been a bit of a talking point among the impeachment crowd. Not so much back when a different cult leader was in charge. Call'em low information if you like.

That will say more about the moral bankruptcy of those who'd vote for Trump after 4 divisive, chaotic and corrupt years than anything else. I love it when the left talks about moral bankruptcy. I'm not the left. But anyone who votes for Trump again has to check their morality (and their sanity) at the door.

I didn't care about politics back then. It was a simpler time...

There are plenty of people on the left saying "This is the best we can do? Let's quit now and save the money for 2024."

Yeah, I very much doubt that.

Wasn't that on the Fox feed? I don't know. I read the Babylon Bee more than Fox news. Should have phrased it, "Wasn't that on the Fox feed?" he said, tongue in cheek. Addendum: But after looking at the Bee a bit, I don't blame you for preferring it to Fox. It looks like a lot of fun.

After yesterday's solemn impeachment procession across the Capitol Rotunda, a procession that was accompanied by 37 elephants, 42 jugglers, three fire sword-swallowers, and one tiny clown car, Mitch McConnell took possession of the articles of impeachment. The 37 elephants, 42 jugglers, three fire sword-swallowers, and one tiny clown car are all evidence against tramp.
