Four Key Roster Decisions That May Be Flying Under the Radar The Ravens have no shortage of difficult personnel decisions to make this offseason. Obviously, resolving Lamar Jackson's contract status is at the top of the list. It's also been well-documented that players such as cornerback Marcus Peters, guard Ben Powers, and outside linebacker Justin Houston are pending free agents and defensive lineman Calais Campbell (if he doesn't retire) and safety Chuck Clark are potential cap casualties. www.baltimoreravens.com/news/four-key-ravens-roster-decisions-flying-under-radar-devin-duvernay-kevin-zeitler

Peters - probably gone, and honestly, I won't miss him. He's sometimes good, and often bad. Powers - hopefully they can work something out here - he's a valuable backup. Houston - probably gone, they have too many young guys to take that role, including Ojabo. Clark - gone. Good riddance. Overrated player. Campbell - likely gone unless he stays on a low salary. He'll be missed but it's probably time to hang it up.

Do the Ravens keep Huntley?
Or draft a QB

Do the Ravens keep Huntley? Or draft a QB If they can sign him cheaply, yes. He may feel he can start somewhere but doubt there'd be much market. Otherwise, they'll probably draft someone in the later rounds if they cannot.

LOL. Trading for Tua? Just LOL. It does make sense. Trade a QB who's missed the last 5 games the past two seasons for a guy who could have his career cut short by concussions.
NFL offseason reporting is the best.

Lol , my worry is..IF.. we do let Lamar walk, who the hell is out there with such talent and available? C'mon man. The Ravens aren't "letting him walk". The aren't likely to trade for a bunch of draft picks either. The team is in a "win now" mode. If a trade is made it's going to be for an established, top-level veteran QB. I really doubt that happens either. This is all ridiculous speculation coming from reporters that are itching to have something in print because the Ravens have been very tight-lipped about any progress. It's idiotic.

I'm not willing to go through that hell again bringing in end of career vet Qbs. Remember Tony Banks, Elvis Grbac, Jim Harbaugh.... Lamar is a huge talent and has broken NFL records, we're lucky to have him. If they do pay the man , they have to have a medical guarantee that his leg or knee is solid again.

Anyone who thinks that trade is a good idea probably also belongs in the concussion protocol.

There is a price for everything. What would you guys take in draft picks of you had to trade him? Assume a below average team so above average draft position.

Rumors say the Ravens will want two first round draft picks in a trade for Lamar. I just can't believe we're considering dumping an elite QB unless he's that damaged

New signings..... Ravens Bring Back Veterans Brent Urban and Daryl Worley The Ravens have re-signed two veteran pieces of their defense, defensive end Brent Urban and cornerback Daryl Worley. Both players were pending unrestricted free agents. Their return helps maintain depth as the Ravens start the offseason construction of their 2023 squad. Urban, 31, returned to Baltimore for a second stint last season and played well, mainly as a backup to Calais Campbell. Urban played in 16 games and made 21 tackles and one sack. He played 29% of the defensive snaps. Campbell announced Sunday before Super Bowl LVII that he is not retiring. He remains under contract but carries a 2023 salary-cap hit of $9.4 million, www.baltimoreravens.com/news/brent-urban-daryl-worley-veterans-free-agents-ravens-resign

It would only happen if the Ravens could get a stop-gap vet QB that is good enough to help them contend now. If that happened, I'd say 3 first round picks, 2 second round picks.

Some magazine called "The Athletic" is spreading a lot of these rumors. Several times I have read the Ravens are parting company with Jackson, it has been one of their articles. While it is possible they have someone leaking these rumors to them, I suspect the truth is simpler: clickbait.

We would need a stud receiver to go with that decent qb just to stay close to even.

It seems every sport's commentator has a hundred different thoughts about his future.

Late for Work 2/16: Lamar Jackson and Todd Monken Are a 'Match Made in Heaven' Feb 16, 2023 at 09:25 AM What do you get when you combine one of the league's most dynamic, young quarterbacks with a highly coveted offensive coordinator? A match made in heaven, according to former Ravens quarterback Eric Zeier. Zeier is the color analyst for the University of Georgia football, so he is very familiar with Monken, who served as the Bulldogs' offensive coordinator the past three seasons. "[Ravens fans] should be extremely excited. First and foremost, he's a great leader. He has the ability and the influence to get the most out of anybody that he coaches, www.baltimoreravens.com/news/late-for-work-2-16-lamar-jackson-and-todd-monken-are-a-match-made-in-heaven
